Dogs at Acadia Woods

Looking for someone to work up front at Dogs at Acadia Woods 3-4 days a work, 7-10 AM and then again between 3-5 PM, starting ASAP! Looking for someone year round or at least over the winter! This could be split up between two people but we’d prefer one person! Needs to be on time as you’d be opening and closing down! As we have an extremely small staff it’s super hard with call outs (obviously can make it work) but can’t happen often!

This would include checking in/out pups from boarding and daycare, answer/returning phone calls, bring dogs up and down from daycare, occasionally helping evaluate dogs for daycare, helping to ensure smooth running of the kennel area, helping out where needed with kennel work: cleaning dishes, laundry, and general cleaning! Occasionally running the front and back until ~November and then you would be doing front and back but few dogs out back so it's not hard! Super fun and fast paced environment but once the season slows down so does the pace! Needs to LOVE dogs of all sizes and temperaments and need to be good with customers as well!

NO DAYCARE TOMORROW, MONDAY, SEPT 23rd

A doggy that has been coming to daycare in the last week has started showing some signs of kennel cough. It's not 100% confirmed yet, we're hoping to hear back tomorrow. But, to err on the side of caution we will not be having daycare tomorrow to take the day to wipe down and sanitize all the nooks and crannies in the daycare room! If it does end up being kennel cough, we will not have daycare for the remainder of the week as the pup had been in multiple days last week and we want to limit and spreading.

If you dog ever has signs of coughing or other symptoms of kennel cough please do not bring your dog in and instead keep them out for a few weeks and/or bring them into your vet to have them checked out! It's not the end of the world but it does spread like crazy and we love to prevent it when we can!

We are no longer taking any new grooming appointments! ☹ Our wonderful groomer, Leona, will be leaving us at at he end of September and we have yet to find someone to replace her in the grooming room! 😲

If anyone knows someone that is a groomer and would like to have take over please have them reach out! ❤

Hey everyone! Quick update!

Due to staffing issues we’ll need to cut down our open office hours, the new hours starting Sunday, September 1st will be:
Monday - Friday: 7-10 AM and 3-5 PM Saturday & Sunday: 7-9 AM and 3-5 PM.

These hours are subject to change, if we are able to find the right person to help with the front of house. We’re hopeful that we find the right person soon, but in the mean time we’ll be having someone work 6-7 days a week and we’re hoping these hours will make it a bit more manageable.

Hi everyone! We’re looking for a few position over at Dogs at Acadia Woods starting mid-August. Possibility of part time and full time.

Someone to help with kennel work from mid August - November. This would be include letting dogs in/out, feeding, giving love, taking for walks, scooping p**p, cleaning kennels, and general work with pups. This would be two separate shifts. One is 7-10ish AM and then again between 2-5 PM. We’d be looking for 2-3 people for this as we need someone everyday!

Looking for 2/3 people to help with daycare! This would be year round! This would be watching and ensuring the pups are safe and playing happily in our daycare area. We’re hoping to hire enough help to always have two people upstairs. We have this Monday-Friday 7 AM - 5 PM. This would work for someone that could only do partial days to, as we normally break this up into two shifts!

For these positions, we are looking for people who are INCREDIBLY reliable, as the dogs don’t take breaks! We are looking for people who are comfortable with dogs and aren’t nervous with different breeds and different temperaments. We provide training. Please reach out with any interest or questions!

For the fall, we’re looking for a full time groomer starting Oct. 1! This position comes with housing available! Please reach out if you know anyone!

NO DAYCARE JULY 4 AND JULY 5. LIMITED HOURS JULY 4.

We will not being having daycare on July 4th or July 5th! We will continue to offer day-boarding and overnight boarding for those dates!

We need some help finding this amazing pup a home! We’ve had such luck finding homes for the other pups that have crossed our path that need help that we’re hoping to have a little more…

Here’s Grizzly! He is a 7 year old, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, with an extensive amount of training, including hunting and kennel trained. great with dogs, livestock, and kids! He’s currently in a home with a whole farm, a bunch of dogs, and a kid running around! He just needs a little more exercise and more one on one time than he’s able to have now!! Ive had the pleasure of being around him and he’s a huge cuddle bug that would love nothing more than to sit on your lap and follow you to every corner in the house!

He would make an amazing addition to any family who is lucky enough to call him theirs! Please message with any questions! Please share to help him find his forever family!
