I appreciate all my repeat customers and every new customer that has come by this year. I know I am doing things right. We are paving the road to greatness and I couldn’t do this without you all.

Congratulations to all the recent successful hunters! I have had a significant influx of bears this year and now the whitetails are rolling into the shop.

Thank you to everyone who recently shared the business page! I can’t thank you enough!

🚨 I will use this post to also announce the termination of all commercial fish and bird mounting services, with the exception of the current work orders. I can offer recommendations for highly skilled fish and bird taxidermists if needed.

Hope to see you in the shop soon! Good luck out there and don’t forget to get a kid involved in the outdoors!

🚨 UPDATE: Hunting season is fast approaching. I have been grinding to get things completed and am a little slower on returns this year after another record year of intake. There are dozens drying and some closer to being ready for finish work! There are less than 20 deer left from 2023, so if you haven’t heard from me yet you will be very soon!

Those wondering about their mounts’ status, just know it’s closer than it was yesterday and the day before 😉
Trust me you will be the first to know when your mount is done!

Here is a fresh deer mount from today which will still need tweaking and grooming for the next few days. This is a custom form alteration on a Mears SSL23. Enjoy!

Well my first World Taxidermy Championship is done, and I knew going in there was going to be a lot of amazing pieces and talented artists to compete against and there was that and more!

I can’t tell you exactly the amount of time into I have in this piece, but it’s a lot. A carcass cast body/head, hand carved rocks, fish, and reeds.

Though the Masters Division at Worlds can chew you up and spit you out. I am pleased to have scored an 88 on the otter and a 90 on habitat. I’m not a ribbon chaser and this is only going to make me strive to do better.

Both judges really loved this piece and gave amazing critiques and advice for the next one!

I’m all finished competing at the State level for 2024, it was a rollercoaster ride and I got to do it along some some of the best taxidermists in the state and country.

This was my 5th year competing and I’ll never forget the people that helped get me to this level. There are literally too many of you to list and you know who you are.

Competing isn’t always about the ribbons and awards, but the recognition of hard work and determination. It makes those long days / nights, blood, and sweat seem worth it.

I can’t really decide what my favorite moment was, it was all pretty awesome.

BUT, I will pick one thing. Winning my first STATE CHAMPION with a mule deer my grandfather harvested many years ago.

Thanks for all your support and please enjoy some of the photos I took. PS I missed a few ribbons in my at home shoot, but you’ll see them in the photos.

The orange army is assembling!

I hope everyone has a safe and successful firearm season. I still have plenty of room, but will be capping my intake at some point to make sure I can provide both timely returns and the highest quality mounts to my customers.

This season has been cruising at a recording setting pace already and I am excited to show off some of these magnificent trophies when they are complete.

During legal hunting hours for the regular 9 day I will be available via, messenger, and text to answer any questions you may have or to setup drop off times.

Please remember drop offs are by appointment ONLY.

I look forward to seeing everyones trophy harvests and hearing the stories.

Good luck, shoot straight, and get a kid involved in the outdoors when you can!

Had a little spare time this morning and this actually took a lot longer than I was anticipating. Nothing new, just a few mounts put together this year.

Took couple weeks off and got out of the shop to chase some spring turkeys. I got back in the saddle today and got this Lake Michigan Yellow Perch completed. I haven’t been doing fish for 10years… The customer is happy and is all that matters!
