OnebyOne NJ Cat Rescue OnebyOne is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill, cat rescue made up of a group of animal loving, dedicated, tireless volunteers. We are NOT a shelter.

Our focus is to rescue stray, abandoned, homeless cats and kittens and place them in loving forever homes. Each cat is fostered in a wonderful home, nurtured and loved until we are able to find each one their forever home. Another focus of our group is TNR* (trap, neuter, return). In an effort to help reduce over crowding in state shelters and minimize the outdoor feral cat population in NJ, Oneby

One is not only providing hands on help, but also providing education and resources to help people who want to get involved in their own backyard or their community. Because of foster space limitations, we do rescue and place mostly cats. However, you will sometimes find a dog or bunny listing here, as we offer courtesy posting for fellow trusted Rescuers in the NJ area. Please note: WE DO NOT BREED KITTENS!!! When there are kittens listed for adoption at any time on this page, they were rescued. OnebyOne is lucky enough to maintain a foster network throughout NJ . We work closely with our fosters, other rescues, and various shelters to place these rescued cats and dogs in loving forever homes.

Meet our precious Henry. This gorgeous boy was part of a TNR project. He was slated to be put back into his colony, however, we saw the curiosity in his eyes while in the trap. We also recognize how frightened he was. We wanted to give this boy a chance. We found the best foster we know and he is coming along amazing. His foster mom who is showering him with love, treats and lots playtime says he is ready for adoption to the right home. We need Henry to be with another cat, and a home that will allow him to continue to feel safe and loved.

Warm, because they have insulated houses. Safe because I worked YEARS to help change the laws in my town, well fed because every single day they get food & water. Most important, they are ALL spayed/neutered and vaccinated, so they are content.
They did not choose this life, to live outside, to be feral, humans did this. Making sure they have the best life they can -It’s the least I can do.
