Lily got herself into a predicament a while ago while rolling and got herself cast. Luckily a friend was there as she did it and was able to haul her butt back around to get her back on her feet. lol.

Right after the hurricane happened and everything was a muddy mess with trees every where the horses got to experience the helicopter saw. They all did pretty good with it. Bash was the most worried about it but he was more concerned with the mares being ok than the actual helicopter itself.

Hank has his halter on now too. So everyone is coming along finally. And with it becoming cooling I hope to be able to get out and do a lot more training.

Bash is actually starting to let me get a halter on him now. Which for this guy is a massive step up. Though this halter will have to be changed out soon. It’s old and has been falling apart. lol.

Haven’t posted in a while. But Vinny has been going in and out to pasture. We have learned that he does still produce testosterone so at the moment until we get him evaluated more he hasn’t gotten to go out with the mares. But he has been enjoying his freedom to roam the pasture.

This is one of Bash’s biggest accomplishments in all these years. For some reason today it just clicked and he tried his very best. We had to go back and forth with doing things he was used to and doing the new things so I could keep him engaged with our session but he actually tried so hard and stayed so curious throughout the whole thing that he only had one time where he had too much and left me but came back and we actually reached a point where I could have just tied the halter but decided not to and let him be for the day!

The end of the year has been crazy between the weather and the military I have been able to train or post on here in forever.

A five minute ride on Mia. She is almost three so before we get into too much work I just want her to be used to all the tack and my weight so we can smoothly transition to the work she will be doing in the further.

I love how dark this old guy gets in the winter. He has finally started letting me touch and pet the top of his neck so we are steadily getting to be in the position to halter him! Hopefully soon but always have to take it slow with this guy though he is starting to finally seek out the love more and more each time.

Mister Vinny even got some tying lessons in the other day though he wasn’t happy about it because he couldn’t get to the mares. Sir you are supposed to be a gelding. No more need for the stud antics. This horse believes or possibly is still a stud though he is supposed to have no jewels.

Even Princess Mia is getting into work. Though hers is more of just getting used to things on her back more than actually riding since she isn’t yet a three year old but it’s getting closer.

Lily and her tiny human. Lily has gained a bit of weight this summer so we have started to try and get her broke to ride more so that she can get that exercise in. She is definitely a very easy keeper.

Mr Bash is still slowly coming along. He has started letting me touch his cheeks and actually enjoying the small pets from time to time though he does much better on one side the the other like all horses do.

Lily got to give her little girl a ride around the pasture and some in the water until she decided to lay down to roll in the water and Riley fell off. Lol.

Lily got to do some harness training and did pretty good for her first time in the harness. Now to get her working more to get her hippo body down in a few pounds. Lol.

Hank the door opener learned how to put his nose in a halter and learned he could get cookies if he did it himself. Lol.

Though it has been raining and super muddy in places Mr Bash is looking better than ever. The flies make him a grump but he still comes to seek some face scratches. He has some new scratches across his body from someone leaving a gate unlocked and my horse that’s knows how to open doors let Bash and another gelding that still thinks he is a stud out together in Bash’s area and they had a fight before I could get there to get everyone separated. The funny thing is the gelding who opened their stall doors for them stayed away from the situation acting like he didn’t know what happened.

Still working on getting Bash to accept more cheek touches but with this heat and bugs out patience hasn’t been his strong suit. We’ve had to slow down the time frame of how long we can do each session so his patience doesn’t wear too thin with the way the heat and bugs have been. He has been a very grumpy boy but he is starting to accept me coming up on his sides more.

Mia is still trying to curb her not wanting to tie attitude so she has become super stubborn. Did a little hobbles training and she told me her take on the hobbles by being determined to break them which she ended up doing. Mia is gonna be a very stubborn riding horse. Lol.

Lily is still working on saddle stuff. It’s been way to hot to really do a bunch so we have just been messing around with it from time to time.
