Woke up to one of the Christmas Kittens cold and lateral. She was moving slow yesterday and I had been watching her. I am getting her temperature up she is trying to stay with us. She is one of the smaller ones of the litter but she was good before I went in the hospital I notice yesterday she was moving slow. We need a miracle. We have prevention that are behind; medical needs remain, and we are consistently asked to take in needy animals. We are trying to reach our $5000 goal for the match to handle what we are behind. Not to mention the trip
I am making to get my Texas babies, which is now a liter of puppies (6), plus two mamas and babies who were all set to be euthanized last week.
For example, heartworm prevention alone costs $20 a chew x 30 (there's more than this, but rounding down) $600 monthly. The kitties' preventions are $100 for a box of 6. We have 40+ cats and kittens, so that's another $600+, and these are only two needs we have to keep up with. This does not include food supplies and essentials.
We have to continually ask, which is why I have to close my intake even though it kills me because I know some are going to die with this decision. I’m often told that I shouldn’t take it in because I don’t have the funds, but not many rescues have continuous funding, and we still help. We have to ask the community for help daily, which some feel is begging. Well, we are begging. We are begging for help to continue helping them. We are not rich. If I were, I wouldn’t ask for a dime. Rescue cannot do this without the community.
We know it’s the holiday for Christmas. Can you please help a small rescue reach where they need to be? I am to the point that I have to say no to many things.
We receive these funds faster, and Facebook takes 30 days, but whatever is best for you to help us is fine with us. We are drowning but still finding ways to help.

If your dog is peanut tolerant, this is a way to give them their medications. I give this to them this way so I know they eat it, even though I still watched them to make sure everything was taken. Chahuli is amped up, but who can blame him? We don't know how he feels being out of the building. We will get him settled in his new environment. He needs to acclimate to not being a shelter pup. You can tell he was trying to soak up everything at once, which can be overwhelming. He is like,” Where am I?” “Where am I going?”Am I going back in there?”
He is a beautiful boy who just needs time and patience. We don't know what he has been through in his two years of life. Humans don't make it easy for them.
