Dear Hightails Family,

With a heavy heart we have to post that we are having to close on August 31, 2021. Many factors built to this point including our move from West Chicago in September 2019, our extensive buildout in Batavia, quickly followed by the pandemic and lockdown of 2020, and the current economic and work force climate of 2021.

We have had 10 beautiful years in which we have:
•been honored to foster over 100 dogs in need with our rescue partners
•have met and loved like family all of our current and former human clients
•have employed the very best team members through these past 10 years
•and have adored and hold close to our hearts every single dog and puppy who have graced our lives with their unconditional joy and love.

My personal infinite gratitude goes out to all of my family and friends who have given your love and help so many times when we needed you.

It has always been my dream to help dogs, Hightails has exceeded those dreams 100-fold and more. I hope our legacy is that it was possible to care for and love dogs using positive training and understanding dog behavior and body language to give dogs and puppies their happiest moments.

We also hope that everyone here continues to advocate for rescues and to speak up against puppy mills and commercial online breeders.

We plan to continue our daycare until Friday 8/20 and boarding through Monday 8/23. Please PM with any questions or text me.

Our adorable, loving, affectionate foster girl Diane is posted! She is all ready for her forever home as an only dog to shower her family with smiles and love, but we are waiting for her eye appointment mid August to assess her left eye. Hoping she gets a good report and then her adoption! 😍❤️💞

Our overnight pups did really well today with the heat! Lots of inside AC time and outdoor time with fresh pools and waters kept everyone cool! 😎🐾💦

Tomorrow promises to be another hot and humid day, daycare is open but please keep your pup home if they are heat sensitive and earlier pick ups are recommended -

Hi friends, due to this excessive heat and humidity, we are canceling daycare for tomorrow, 7/26 Monday. We feel it’s safest to avoid doggie play with these heat indexes.
