This is miss Ivy Cream. She recently graduated from puppy class with us. She and her older brother Butterball will be taking intermediate together with us in September! Her progress was so fun to watch! (Photos were taken and posted after verbal consent was given by pet parents)

This very handsome boy is Charlie! He took beginner class with us about a month ago! We worked very hard on his ability to have a calm greeting with people and other dogs! This is Patty aka Miss Maam or girlie! Patty has spent the last 6 weeks growing to become more confident around bigger dogs and learning house manners! Patty will continue classes with us through intermediate and advanced! I have loved my time with her and can’t wait to see how she grows!

This is SYLO! This sweet girl is in it for the long haul with us going through our full training program, in hopes of becoming a Service Dog! We will be doing as much task training as we can here before releasing her to WAGS of Louisiana for Public Access training. Sylos owner hopes that one day Sylo will be able to fetch him a beer from the fridge! Sylo has grown so much in size and as a well developed dog! I cant wait to see where she goes!

This is Nyla, Nyla came to us looking for basic puppy manners and some help with fear of grooming. She recently graduated along with Sylo after making leaps and bounds of progress. We are still working every day to get her more comfortable with grooming supplies and being groomed professionally!

This is Basel or Baybay as his parents call him. He graduated from beginning training with us last weeks after making leaps and bounds. One of the coolest things he learned in his time with us was how to whisper to allow for a quitter way for him to voice his feelings! I hope he comes back to visit soon and maybe even take intermediate with us!

This next dog has my heart in her paw! This is recent intermediate class graduate and Service dog in training BEANS! Beans holds a very special place in my heart as she is my first Service dog that i have trained since starting at Petsmart! Beans is excelling in her task training and seeing huge success in Public Access training. Beans is proof that if you put time and effort into your training the possibilities are endless!

Meet Thurgood, AKA Goodie! Goodie completed his puppy obedience course yesterday and we’re so excited for him and his mom.
We saw a huge change in his leash walking skills, confidence, and engagement.

Both have completed their full 6 week beginner training, and have seen tons of improvement in obedience, leash walking, and handler engagement.
We are so proud of them and their parents, and are excited to see how they continue to grow in their training journey.

Tonight we celebrated my first graduation as Millerville’s new dog trainer with Abby!

Abby, a loveable Lab and German Shepherd mix, came in working through reactivity to people in public. Through the skills she’s learned during her 6 week beginner class, we’ve seen tons of improvement in her confidence and engagement with her parents.
Instead of lunging and barking at passerby’s, Abby is now able to focus on mom and dad and watch from a distance!

I’m so excited to see Abby continue to improve, and I’m so proud of her and her parents for how far they’ve come.
