Polk Family Rabbitry We are a family of 4 that started buying rabbits for our oldest to show in
4-H.

We chose Dutch because friends of ours also had that breed and we fell in love with their personalities and demeanor.

Kenzie had a very good weekend showing her rabbits. Sat in Kentucky she got Opp of breed in show A with a Jr Gray Doe, Best and Opp of breed in show B with her Sr Black Doe and Sr Gray Buck, and Best and Opp of Breed in show C with her Sr Black Doe and a different Sr Gray Buck.
Sunday in Greenville OH, her Gray Sr Buck got Opp of Breed in show A, and she got Best Of Breed and Opp Of Breed in show B with her Blue Jr Doe and a different Gray Sr Buck. Now everyone will get a rest and hopefully finish molting before nationals at the end of the month.

Kenzie had a great day at the indiana state rabbit convention. She won BOB and BOS show A with her Tort Sr Buck and Black Sr doe. Her white new Zealand buck won BOB also. In the commercial show her white meat pen won reserve grand champion and so did her black fryer. In the specialty shows she won BOB and BOS with her Gray Jr Buck SIMBA, and her Tort Sr Doe. Her white new Zealand Buck won BOS as well

Anyone who has reached out to me recently about 4h rabbits for next year please email me again at [email protected] with color and age preferences. I can't seem to find my list since we moved. Currently, we have 2 black junior does, 2 blue junior does, and a gray junior buck that are needing new homes. They all have marking faults of some sort but they are all showable(No disqualifications). They were all born the last week of July- 1 week of August so they will be seniors for county fair season.

Kenzie and I went to the River Valley Rabbit Club show in South Bend today. Kenzie had a heck of a day as she won Best of breed in both shows with her blue Jr doe. She then went on and won best 4 class and Best In Show in BOTH shows!!! It was a great day and she had a lot of fun showing and seeing friends we haven't seen in awhile.

Last night we had the awards banquet for the National Dutch Show and Miss Kenzie won beginner judging, beginner showmanship and was the 2022 first place lady in the royalty contest. She also was presented her awards for 1st place in the 2021 gray variety, and 1st place in overall sweepstakes points for 2021. She was finally presented with her best and opp gray awards, her tort 1st place sr buck, and best overall display of colors for the whole show. She had another excellent weekend and even made some new friends.

Kenzie won Best and Best opposite of variety in gray today at the National Dutch Show. She also place 1st in Tort Sr bucks and had several other top 10 placings including 5th in Sr black bucks, which was the 2nd largest class with 18 rabbits in it.

Kenzie and I went to Michigan state university this weekend for the MSRBA spring quad show and the kiddo had a really good weekend. Along with several variety wins and opposites, she won BOB and BOS in show A with her Sr grays, show B win BOB with her 2nd gray sr buck, show C her gray buck won BOS, and finally in show D she won BOB and BOS with her grays one again and Mufasa her gray buck won reserve in show!!!!

Kenzie and I went to Shipshewana today and had a pretty good day. She won several varieties in both shows. In show A her gray senior buck Mufasa won Best of breed and finished 2nd behind a Florida white for best 4 class. In show B her other gray senior buck Thor won best opposite of breed.

Today in Lebanon Kenzie won several classes in show A and best opposite s*x with her junior black doe. In show B she won Best of breed with her new blue buck, Hercules, who she acquired from Kristy Grinold at Arba convention. Her gray junior doe won best opposite. Hercules then went on to win reserve in show in show B.
