Trapped a mink. Never even seen one before. He's a big boy. Decided to skin And tan a squirrel that was in the wrong place when I was there. These two are turning out great ! I'm so pleased with the progress. They Get tanning solution tonight. Then it's the home stretch . Skulls for both are ready for whitening. Then they get plaques ;)

Rifle season is sooo close. Let's have a safe n successful season.

Call me n leave a message for drop off times when your ready to get those euro skulls done. Remember it's not just deer skulls. Coyote. Critters n other game skulls make great mounted memories.

Fire brazed pine plaques are very popular and make for vibrant contrast backgrounds to any skull / Antler / turkey fan mounts ask about them when you drop off your Deer / Turkey/ or critters

Pulled a Rabbit out of my hat... Well. Maybe I should say the freezer lol. And a racc**n hide. A couple hides now in progress, have the skull for that c**n already done n waiting till hide is tanned. Gonna be a hide working week ;). Fleshing tool slipped on me making a cut into hind leg. A little dental floss sewing n back in business ;).

First of bow season bucks headed out the door today.
Congratulations to this hunter and a fine tight rack 8 point.

Finished a couple woods finds, a Possum that was just a flat hunk of hard smelly leather, cut head portion off. Had quite a bit of bone joint gluing but it whitened n cleaned up really nice. A mossy dark green n black wet swamp edge Racc**n skull still under some carcass remains. Even with extended degreasing n whitenings it didn't get real white but came a long way. Should make nice addition to Lil Mans Bedroom in a few years. Till then will sit on the wall base of great grandpas black bear mount.
They're set on a (hickory or ash)? stump slab chunk I cut for a Table /Desk Top mount.

"Rocket" the Racc**n project is complete n I'm happy with the results :)
( I seen those eyes roll.. ! I didn't name him ..lol ) Blame Lil Mans Dada .. points at son in law..
He lost his tail and a chunk of his ear many many years ago by the look of the scar inside the hide. Was a fighter right up untill I retrieved him.

Another go at a Racc**n, a rather unique one at that. He's huge n beautifully colored but has no tail at all. Just a nub. When I skinned him forgot to take a picture. All that was there was a half inch bone bump no sign of scaring or trauma so it's been that way since very very young. He is sure a fat headed fellow besides. Skin is salted in the freezer till I can catch up my to do list some. Skull is cleaned n drying so it can be whitened. And mounted with the hide. I been looking to trap another huge good looking one for a c**n skin cap. Thought I was there till I seen no tail. AND WHAT WOULD DANIEL BOON SAY IF I GOT A COONSKIN HAT WITHOUT A TAIL... Buahahahaha

My Rabbit project, trying to clear my work orders up before the deer start coming in. But I keep adding more critters lol. Got the skull all cleaned n degreased. It has to dry n be whitened while the hide is in its salting stage ;) I'll figure out this hide tanning stuff one Day Lol.
