Today was weekly bath 🛁 and nail trim day! Shout out to my little helper for assisting 😆 (actually the real MVP was my friend Jessica Leigh Vernon who came and helped)! 💜💜
I’ve been trimming these babies nails since they were 4 weeks old and EVERY one of these precious pups are so laid back and tolerant with nail clipping now and it’s goes so fast!
Because of our early introduction to grooming practices (nails, brushing, and baths 🛁) groomers loves this and it sets them up for success with future grooming experiences.
I’m pretty sure this is what heaven looks like 🥰🫶🏽

Happy 4 weeks! 🎉 Pups got their first taste of puppy food today and it was a huge hit!
🐾These little nuggets are definitely on the move! 🐾
They all climbed out of the low clear box I typically place them in while cleaning the whelping box so I had to move them to a bigger box 📦 today during cleaning. I am seeing lots of eyes 👀 opening and I hear them starting to experiment with their little puppy voices. It’s truly heart warming ❤️
Today the pups turned 2 weeks old! 🩵We are moving into week 3–the transitional phase. They will start hearing, eyes will open and their little legs will get strong enough to walk! It’s a big developmental shift these next 2 weeks.
Sorry for the short post, we will update more soon but our family is just going through a lot right now with the unimaginable loss of our Daddy dog, Bourbon (just typing that makes it feel so real and I’m still struggling hard, I have tried to type a post all day but haven’t found the words to pay him proper tribute). We are focusing all of our efforts on grieving while being as strong as possible for our little guy DJ and mama Rye and the pups. 💜
And we cannot forget about our stud/ daddy dog 🐶 Bourbon. He’s the most beautiful and cuddliest pup around! 💙
Our mama dog Ryelee is something really special and the most patient with our 19 month old son as well as all of the kiddos she gets the opportunity to interact with at the American Autism & Rehabiltation Center. You can see why we will be retiring her from breeding early to focus on her therapy career! 💜
