"The Joy In My Heart Foundation" is a 501(c)3 animal rescue non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives. This organization was inspired in loving memory of my beloved mother who was an animal advocate and my best friend, Joy Hanson. We are an all breed foster based rescue specializing in animals who have been surrendered by families who can no longer care for their pet based on terminal illn

ess or the death of their beloved human. We are committed to working with shelters, hospice and elderly facilities to help save the lives of your four legged family members when there is no one left to care. We are dedicated to finding homes through compassionate fosters and adopters who will provide a loving home. It is also our desire to help terminally ill and seniors remain in contact with their beloved pet through volunteers who will bring the animal to visit their owner in the elderly facility or hospice. While The Joy In My Heart Foundation's mission is to rescue and rehome the pets of owners who can no longer care for them due to terminal illness or death, we will not hesitate to help other animals in need when possible.

PUPDATE - Bowie has a meet & greet tomorrow.. all paws crossed. 🐾🐾🐾

Omg - this poor pup was found abandoned in a park 😢 Look at those eyes 👀 . The good samaritans that picked him up are calling him Bowie. This poor German Shepard pup is guessed to be about 5 months old. He’s very skinny so wasn’t fed much. He’s calm, friendly especially with other dogs. He would need to get shots and is not neutered yet. We will help with medical. We need to find him a local foster or adopter.

A homeless lady said her friend just left him at the park because she can’t care for him any more. The good Samaritan’s can’t keep him so we need to find him a home. Please contact us at [email protected] if you can give him the home he deserves.❤️❤️❤️

Oso really needs a foster or forever home!!! Please help us help him. He’s already lost his momma & home. 😢

Please share to help find a foster or forever home for Oso. His momma passed away and he needs a loving home. Oso is a 13 year old schipperke and is young at heart. He gets along well other small dogs but not big dogs as he was once attacked by big dogs. Oso likes walks and loves to cuddle.
