TRANSPORT NEEDED FOR THIS SATURDAY! These fabulous felines need a ride to a rescue in Leander, Texas! 7 adults, a litter of 5 juveniles, and a single kitten safe and ready to start new adventures! Kennels provided for the transport! Can you help? Please message us or contact the shelter staff at 409-838-3304.

If you can't transport but still want to help, please donate to assist Woodville Animal Shelter, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, that saved these kitties in need when they were scheduled for euthanasia for treatable medical reasons or TNR. You can donate by calling Dowlen Road Veterinary Clinic at (409) 860-4386 to help with medical and boarding expenses. Scruffy -A-136624 (left) and Ramen -A-136623 (right) were picked up on 12/12/24 by an ACO from the 2400 BLK of Euclid.
Scruffy and Ramen are not doing well at the shelter. They are so afraid of people that they are acting out towards anyone who walks by their kennel. Barking and lunging trying to keep people away. These two poor souls have probably never experienced kindness. They need a rescue that has resources to work with them to learn that not all people are bad.

🚨💔🚨 URGENT! Most of these pups are Code Red and Urgent! Some with deadlines to leave the shelter to stay safe as early as tomorrow morning at 8 am! They can all leave on transport in less than 2 weeks, but they can't stay at the shelter due to lack of space. They MUST have short term local fosters to save their lives! We can't save them without your help! 🚨💔🚨

He has a wonderful personality and does fantastic with other dogs, making him a great addition to a home with canine companions. If you're looking for a fun-loving dog who gets along with everyone, Dragon is the perfect match!

Happy New Year! As we start off 2025, we want to express our deepest gratitude to amazing supporters, rescues, veterinarian partners, BAC fosters, and BAC staff. We truly appreciate your compassion and commitment to the homeless animals in our community. Together, we’ve made a difference in the lives of so many.

The animal crisis in our shelters is often overwhelming and heartbreaking. But the tenacity of our volunteers and the power of teamwork and cooperation have helped us save lives when we thought all hope was lost.

We are excited to continue lifesaving with you in 2025. We wish you a New Year full of happiness, animal kisses, and the continued desire to make a difference for the animals and save even more.

Please bring your animals inside, and keep them safe during fireworks! Sadly, shelters and rescues are FULL!

As we celebrate the end of the year with dazzling fireworks, let's make sure our furry friends feel safe and secure. Here are some tips to keep your pets calm during tonight's festivities: 🥳🎆

🐾 Create a safe space: Set up a quiet, cozy area in your home where your pet can retreat if they feel scared.

🐾 Keep them indoors: Secure doors, windows, and fences to prevent a frightened pet from escaping.

🐾 Drown out the noise: Play soft music or turn on the TV to help mask the sound of fireworks.

🐾 Use calming aids: Consider anxiety wraps, pheromone sprays, or consulting your vet about safe calming options.

🐾 Update ID tags: Make sure your pet's microchip and ID tags are current, just in case they wander off.

🐾 Don’t forget exercise: A nice walk earlier in the day can help burn off energy and promote relaxation.
