Meet Buster -2925! He was surrendered by his dad along with his sister Sandy. Buster's family could no longer continue caring for them and us hoping they find a better home. Buster is an adventurer and loves being outside. If you have a fenced in yard, Buster will be as happy as can be! If you have another pet in the home, we recommend a meet and greet prior to adoption. We have not been able to pair Buster with anyone but his sister while here at the shelter.

Meet Sandy -2924! She was surrendered with her brother Buster after their family could no longer afford to continue caring for her. Sandy is a giddy girl who loves being around people. While she loves playing and stretching her legs, she is more of a people person and would rather be by your side. If you have another pet in the home, we recommend a meet and greet prior to adoption. We have not been able to pair Sandy with anyone but her brother while here at the shelter.

‼️🔴CODE RED - URGENT! CAN YOU HELP ECHO BY OPENING UP YOUR HOME & HEART?!🔴‼️

Echo -A-2955 is an adult male who was picked up by an ACO from the 6100 BLK of N Major. Echo went into the BAC Foster to Adopt Program. Unfortunately, he was returned due to being heartworm positive. Heartworms are treatable. According to his foster, Echo appears to be housetrained. He also got along well with the other dogs in the home. He knows some commands, like "no" and comes when called by his name. He will need to be fed separately in his new home. He does not like to share his food with other pets. Staff recommends getting a trash can with a lid. Echo has a habit of getting into the trash can. Echo knows where the A/C is and will go potty and want to come right back inside to stay cool.

Meet Jester -2637, a gentle male dog who needs a little time to come out of his shell. Shy around people, Jester requires a patient and understanding home where he can gradually adjust and feel safe. Despite his initial shyness, he gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys their company. If you have a quiet and loving environment and are looking to give a sweet, shy pup the chance to blossom, Jester is the perfect match for you!

Meet Dodger -2737! He is slim and quick on his feet! Dodger is believed to be a Ridgeback mix as he has a very prominent ridge of hair down his back. Dodger is agile and loves being able leap across the yard to catch toys and treats. He is submissive with other dogs and has done well around them.

Dodger has been at the shelter for almost 45 days!

33 kitties are now in Irving, Texas! Thanks to Woodville Animal Shelter and Carrie May Fontnow, these fabulous Code Red felines are safe and starting new adventures. These sweet kitties now get their second chances for life and love! Thank you, Sarah Ledwith-Zumwalt for transporting to Woodville and Kathy Taylor for transporting to Irving! Thank you both for getting these sweet felines to their destination rescue.

Luke -3144 was owner surrendered along with his smaller sibling. While we are happy to say his sibling went to rescue, Luke is not adjusting in the shelter. We believe due to stress, he squabbled with his sibling and other kennel mate. Because of this, Luke finds himself in the quarantine room. That room quickly fills up and space is always needed. Luke is housebroken and already neutered.

Driver needed THIS Friday for 33 cats/kittens! Most of these are babies that were made immediately Code Red due to upper respiratory issues or other medical issues or were scheduled for TNR. We never even had the chance to post because our amazing rescue partner stepped in to board to keep them safe, find rescue, get them necessary medical care, and give them the chance to find loving families.

Transport driver needed to pick up at Dowlen Road Vet in Beaumont at 7:00 am THIS Friday and drive to Woodville Tractor Supply to meet transport to Irving at 8 am. Please message us or call BAC staff at 409-838-3304 if you can help!

Meet Kevin -3002, a big-hearted male dog who’s the ultimate goofball! Kevin loves to get the zoomies and will run laps around you, showing off his playful energy. Despite his size, Kevin is convinced he’s a lap dog and loves nothing more than snuggling up close. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion who also has a cuddly side, Kevin is the perfect fit! Kevin will need a slow introduction to other dogs. He prefers to be the dominant male, but looooves females. Kevin will need to be fed separately from other pets in the home. Because of his resource guarding and selectiveness with other dogs in the overcrowded and hectic shelter environment, Kevin is currently housed in the quarantine room.
