What do you get when you trust me to be your critter sitter???

The biggest thing is peace of mind things are done correctly and everyone is healthy and happy!! I love sending pix and updates. I try to do this everyday to every other day. Not only do I care for your fur babies while you are gone but included in the price are the small things that go along with house sitting. Garbage cans in/out, water plants as needed in and or outside. Pick up the mail and packages. I have even grabbed the laundry of the clothes line.

A typical visit for a dog is food, water, treats (if you say its ok), lots of love, play time, brushing, a walk if need be and of course the job no one likes.... poo clean up.

As you know horse are special animals and may not always require lots of "extra" care but definitely a trained eye! Example: a rock stuck in a hoof, someone may say no biggie but if its not picked out....I see a lame horse or a bruised foot 😔.
A normal visit for horses is feed, supplements if needed, water, muck stalls/paddock each visit its easier to clean when its not stomped on. Replenish shavings as needed. Turn out, bring in, checking blankets and/or fly masks are on correctly. Groom and give lots of love. I check them over looking for cuts/scrapes and what not. Horses will be horses. Clean water buckets/troughs at lease once depending on duration (no one like doing that so I do it for you). Or every Sunday if more than a week. Make sure the barn is cleaned most every time I'm there but when you return I always hope it's better than you left it. The last thing you want to do is clean a barn when you return.

Can't forget our amazing butt nugent layers 🐥. I always making sure their food and water is full and is clean! They can be messy bogers. Pick up eggs, make sure they are secured at night and let back out in the morning.

We all do pretty much the same thing but I like to make sure its done your way! Therefor I alway do a meet and greet. You meet me, I meet you, but most importantly we go over everything together so there is no question what is expected.

Meet Pebbles a new addition to our small funny farm we call Striefel Acres. She's 10 weeks old and loves to chill with me and watch TV when it's time to unwind. She's really my sons new pet but I may or may not have really wanted a bunny. Now I truly can stand behind Hooves to Hare Pet Care. Let me be your Critter Sitter!!!

Meet and Greet Monday. Today we are featuring Winston! Winston came to live with us about a year ago. He is a 18 years young retired horse that will live his days out here as long as his owners would like. Yep he's not mine but I treat him as my own. He is our one and only boarding horse. We love you buddy!!

Meet Savanah and Indigo. These two are night and day but so happy together. Indigo is a happy 31 year gentleman. And I Savanah is a bit sassy!! But aren't we all ladies!!

Molly is so sweet and such a protector. She is so loved by her family 🥰 however due to her age she can no longer go camping with her family. It breaks all our hearts because she loved it do much. But she safer at home.

Meet Nova, my newest client. She's one of the sweetest GS you'll ever meet. Loves to play and run!! She gave me the biggest scare I've ever had house sitting. She thought I would be fun to hide under the house the first night I was to put her away. I had to call her mom and tell her she was missing. Good thing moms know all and was able to help me find her.

Welome to Hooves to Hare Pet Care. My name is Amanda and I love caring for animals. A little insite as to who I am and what I've done. We (my husband and I) currently have a cat, fish, 11 chickens, 1 rooster, a mean tom (turkey), a German Shepherd named Kobe, I also have a horse named Kore, and I board a horse named Winston. On top of all the animals we also have 2 amazing boys Austin and Corbin. In the past we've had goats, pigs and a cow.
I was equine barn manager for as many as 35 horse. I did this for almost 3 years. I did a bit of everything. Feed, water, turn out, supplements, muck stalls, tack up horses, groom, a few beginner lessons, camps, and of course cleaning. I decided to back to work full time. I love my current job however I feel this pull to get back into caring for animals again. So here I am.
