Every year for New Year's Eve keeps 4 spots for dogs to go out and have fun on the coast for a few days while being away from fireworks and chaos. Training, boundaries, LOTS of play time and walks!

This last NYE we were at Nehelam Bay State Park. Where should we go this year?

Meet Tank. Got to work with this handsome boy all day today. He's available for adoption at Kauai Humane Society. He now has Sit, Down, Up, Wait and a loose leash Heel. He is a super sweet boy and is eager to learn. Lots of energy but knows when to chill. He's great in the car and just needs some structure and boundaries.

In desperate need of some cooling off after the fair, we headed over to Tumalo State Park for some splash around time.

When you board with us your dogs are treated as family and come home happy instead of stressed and anxious.

Got to work these amazing pups around some serious stressors, distractions and stimuli at the Deschutes County Fair. Crowds, livestock, rides and all the noises! They absolutely crushed it and I'm so proud of them!

Do you have difficulty cutting your dogs nails?
Try putting your pup on a table or something high. This may help them be focused on themselves and it could make it easier to clip or grind the nails.

Back out on the coast with Momma Bear getting her some MUCH deserved fun in the sand and water! I've learned so much from her and I continue to get schooled by her in unconditional love. I truly cherish these days and look forward to all the remaining!

It is too hot out for your pup?

Stability
Does your dog hide during a thunderstorm? Howl and cry at the sound of fireworks or sirens? Maybe it has to have medications to go to the doctor or for cutting its nails.

Got to work with my 3 favorites yesterday. Cambria, Thor and.... My talented, dedicated and amazing son Dade. He's out for a short stint so we can talk shop, get some things hammered out, EAT OUR WEIGHTS IN THE AMAZING FOOD PORTLAND HAS TO OFFER and start our dream!

I'm humbled and honored everyday to have such an amazing support system of the 2 and 4 legged varieties. I can't wait to see what the future brings for Dade and I on this adventure!

We can't wait to see all of you and your pups to help you achieve your goals! Gus is our most recent IB+T (Intensive Board and Train) who was a nightmare on leash and now is absolutely crushing it!

No bad days when you get to be surrounded by dogs and the people that love them.

Got out to the coast on Dades last day here. Momma Bear lives for the beach and water. It's for sure her happy place and although I'm physically exhausted from a packed 4 days, my soul is refreshed.

Life is SO much better when you're not killing yourself to fill someone else's cup! Things are in transition and I couldn't be happier! Left Coast K9 and friends are wildly excited for these coming months and the future!

Say hello to Mr. Barklay. LCK9's most recent IB+T. He's absolutely crushing it and building a tremendous amount of confidence and discipline.

When you Board with LCK9 your pup gets full immersion into the unstable real world. They don't just sit in a kennel and come out for an hour or 2, they go everywhere with us. It's the most immersive program out there bridging the gap from a controlled training environment to everyday life from day 1!

They go on all sorts of adventures from the coast, camping, public parks, food cart pods and businesses. If you're looking for a pup that can go anywhere with you and have solid stability/manners then look no further!

What is your dog's purpose? Even military and LE dogs are team members. The reality is, there are very few things I care about my dog doing as long as they respect boundaries and can be told no.

Mine AND my dog's purpose is to bolster and enhance each other's lives. Yes I allow my dog on my couch. She's trained, stable and doesn't invite herself. She can be told "off" and "bed" and she goes.

How many movies did I watch while deployed with the team dog on the couch? ALL OF THEM! They are a member of the team! Anyone that tells you otherwise has never been down range with working dogs. Please explain to me how you're bolstering each other's lives when your dog only comes out of a box to work. That's putting them in a constant state of surviving not thriving.

Your dog is NOT a "tool", they are a living, breathing, emotional being. If you treat them as object, YOU don't deserve to be on their team.

All that being said, these rules and boundaries can be temporary as your furry friend learns, understand boundaries, builds stability, discipline and impulse control!
