Please spay and neuter your pets, no matter what! Unaltered feral cat colonies lead to in**ed, diseased, and dying kittens/cats that even rescuers cannot save. Stop hoarding cats because it’s “cute” to have kittens but can’t afford to fix any of them or get them proper vet care. Stop breeding puppies and selling them on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist. The world does not need anymore of any breed, trust me, they’re not “endangered.” Get a job instead of breeding animals for money. Rescuers are tired of watching animals die due to human ignorance and stupidity. We give everything we can to save animals and yet the problem never goes away. Humans are the problem. We need to fix the way people see pets and community animals. Spay and neuter! Stop backyard breeding! You’re making them faster than we can save them.

I’ve had many people show interest in volunteering on the farm. If still interested, please message me! Volunteer tasks can include feeding, watering, cleaning, grooming, and interacting with a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, goats, pigs, mules, donkeys, and chickens.

The never ending cycle of kitten season: there are always more in need of help. This bunch came in with awful upper respiratory symptoms and they definitely need a lot of medications and prayers. Please consider donating to their medical care or natural needs such as canned kitten food and litter. I can’t rescue without your continued support!

Did you know that it's normal for a fawn to be by itself during the day? Mom is nearby, but out of sight! With so few deer rehabilitators in Virginia, and increasing restrictions due to the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease, it's more important than ever to keep fawns wild and to share how to NOT be a fawn-napper!

With wildlife centers overflowing and animal control at their limits, we’ve taken in a couple fawn here at the rescue. Both have medical needs and will hopefully make full recoveries with time and proper care. Forrest and Bubba are their names 😇
