We just noticed this video on the breed today. Though there are some things we disagree with. (They don't exactly explain the not training until a year old and their coats are pretty easy to maintain) it gives some info for those interested.

Monet is such an outgoing boy that it's very hard to get away from him long enough to get any photos. Today, this is the only photo we were able to get. Hopefully, we can get better ones another day. He is available. He will for sure make someone very happy.

Our newest addition is Ford. Ford is a male nenets herding laika. We are hoping to get photos of him soon since these photos are from his breeder. Ford is already titled and has gone through some training prior to coming to us. We are thrilled to have him here.

Be aware. Basically this is theft and the breeder (northstar's) was owed second pick. (As well as the fact the male was not paid for so even if she paid for him now, she would still owe second pick)

By the way, I have seen the signed contract which stated the breeder is owed second pick from any breeding from the co owned male. As well as the messages confirming acceptance of owing second pick and confirmation of the contract. If purchasing one of these puppies, you may want to ask to see the contract signed with the original breeder of him. If its missing the written in part at the top stating no money was paid but second pick of any litter was due to the breeder of the sire, then it was modified and thet other party is further lying about this situation.
Ask yourself why any breeder would just give a puppy away and only ask that it's only bred to the owners dogs. Which is what the people are trying to state. No one just gives a puppy away and just says oh don't breed it to anything else and you owe me nothing. The sire to the litter was stolen. The litter is considered co bred and the sire owner (northstar's) is owed. Period.

WARNING! If you are looking for a Yakutian Laika puppy be aware that the litter born in December 2023 in Washington state being referred to as the "Cowboys litter" is from a male that I was tricked out of. The male was allowed to go to her at no cost (she did not pay anything for the male) under the understanding he would be co-owned and when bred at 2 years old (in 2025) I would get 2nd pick of any litters and as a way for me to keep access to his bloodline, having breeding rights. I own the male and anything regarding him is being withheld from me. There has been no communication since the day I was to be told if the female was in fact bred or not. Rather than getting an answer about it, I was blocked.

I am entitled to 2nd pick of any litter from him yet the person with the litter has broken contact since just before they were born and clearly has no intention to follow through with that. The terms of allowing her to co-own are very clearly broken. At this point it is clear the dog was simply stolen from me.

The puppies will be involved in a lawsuit. They cannot legally be sold at very least until my puppy is chosen and given to me, and no matter what even if it’s all resolved none can be allowed full registration without my approval and I will not be approving any. No paperwork on anyone is being transferred unless/until the entire matter is resolved including return of my dog as she clearly will not uphold a co-own and my second pick puppy brought to me and some other legalities at this point.

Picture is Dante the day of and at the location he was taken and his contract signed. Again this dog was NOT purchased he was to go on co-own and the terms of that are clearly being broken. I have more current photos but will not post photos I do not own due to the likely legal issues. Dante was born on February 14, 2023.

Do not be tricked into buying a puppy from that litter.

I am editing to add that I do have someone in that area able to pick up my male whose contract is broken and the puppy I am owed if this other person does decide to try to settle this in a reasonable manner so that at least she can legally place the remaining puppies. as pets. (In case the off chance she wants to try to make this right).

Emmett's first show. Registered name: Mystic Winds less talk more action.
We got best of breed in regular puppy class and best of breed bred by. He then got two group 1's for bred by class and a group 1 for regular puppy class.
We went on to get one reserve best in show bred by puppy and one reserve best in show puppy. Im so proud of him. Thank you judges and congratulations to the other winners today.
Iris got three best of breed today as well. So proud of her and Marina Nave
