Well now that it’s settled down and I’m not so upset.. let me give yall the findings on sweet Roanie boy… 🥺 he’s foundered, an I’m sure everyone who looks at these pics is thinking “well no crap just look at his feet” yeah I know.. but I didn’t think it was as BAD as it is. Unfortunately it’s pretty bad, gonna x’ray next weekk and see if hes going to be okay.. i had fed him pretty good and i guess it caused a flare up. He’s been down and not wanting to do much

He’s NOT colicking he just hurts. Finding out he’s only 16-17 years old is absolutely SHATTERING to me. How this happened and how he ended up like he is IRK’S me. He’d pick up weight so quick here and is such a sweet horse. I’ve never seen him lay so ears back or make a mean move to anyone. He’s just here. If we could all PRAY for some miracle. I’d take an abscess, slightly foundered, special shoes anything other than rotating through his sole 😭 my heart can’t HANDLE another euthanasia so quickly after Merida..

Thank to EVERYONE for all the shares, likes and comments!!!! We’re staying busy over here, but never to busy to stop and appreciate everything that I have and can do ❤️

It’s rewarding seeing the horse’s I save come back to life, the little S***k they get in the cool crisp mornings, or the nickers as I come to the barn, the little hops and even the mean sassiness at feeding Time. It all makes me happy, 30 day’s the same horse that’s cow kicking at other’s now, didn’t have the energy to do that then. Those little hops Forty gives in the morning as I’m coming to feed, yeah, 60 days ago I wasn’t sure If Id be feeding him his last dinner. Or the crippled 6 steps sweet old Romeo gives us coming up go feed, he couldn’t do that 3 weeks ago. It’s all progress..

All of it, the big and the small reminds me why I do what I do. ❤️ some days I come out and I look at the empty spot in my hay barn Merida use to sit in and wish I could go back to them days and go hug my girl. But then forty comes up or sweet old lady and I can’t help but be thankfully I’m where I am at. Weeks ago I was wondering why I’m doing what I’m doing, donations hardly come in, half the world is on fire, The other half in tornadoes or swept away in floods .. but horse’s still keep coming and reminds me every day I’m where I need to be and this is my PURPOSE. Just keep my head up and keep pushing.

I will have, and have some horse’s CURRENTLY available not everything is listed: These horse’s go on a contract. No trade’s, no friend discount’s. We HAVE to bring in FUNDS for the RESCUE!!!!

I have weanlings, yearlings, young horses in training, A couple TB’s, GRADE QH’s. Not everything is pictured again.

I do not have ponies right now. Donkey’s, or AQHA Reg mare’s available. ❤️ we do have some NICE horse’s available!!!! Come check them out!!!

Next Wednesday we say goodbye to our favorite boy EVER!!!!

He goes back to his original owner and we couldn’t be happier, but we SURE are gonna miss our goofy boy ❤️ everyone who’s met us, has meet Gordie!!!! I probably have a thousand videos and pictures of him… he is the goofiest corkiest dude I’ve ever met! Don’t leave a beer sitting out or he’ll drink it, blanket’s, gate’s, chains, lead ropes, literally anything hanging he’ll get it off and run around With it. Nothing is safe with him around

- he is going back to the BEST home and his owner is SOOO excited to get her horse back!!

We are dedicated daily through hot heat in the summer weather to the bitter cold in the winter weather to saving and rehabilitating animals in need but we can't do it without all of our supporters. Even tho we don't truly know all of there story's due to them being put in sale barns and left to whoever and many other cases we get calls on. With all these second chances and miracle babies coming in left and right it wouldn't be possible without ALL of our wonderful supporters!!! We are currently seaking donations to cover the costs of our rescue efforts as in veterinary care, farrier services, and training fees because we don't know everyone's story and we like to make sure everyone goes to there forever home with the best attitude and a clean bill of health for the animals we rescue. Sadly these bills do add up fast but with y'all's support we can continue to provide LIFE SAVING CARE and give these animals the second chance as we know THEY DESERVE!!!

Every donation no matter how big how small HELPS!!! YOUR DONATION helps us ensure that each animal gets the care they need to heal and THRIVE!!!

Getting up and down is hard. He will occasionally trot but mainly just hangs around. Seems to be constant and non affected by weather/cold. Even on supplements doesn’t get better/worse.

We will get you all fixed up and back to feeling better soon Romeo!!!

Sweet Paddles enjoying her retirement ❤️❤️ I do believe if I may say so myself, that she to have the BEST life a horse could want. From starving living on a rope, to FAT and running the fields!!

Lord give me the strength to get through today. I’ve cried so many tears these past 3 days that I just KNOW everyone is tired of me. But it’s HARD. You spend so much time trying to get them healthy that you forget to soak in the little moments. You forget to live. I didn’t think putting Taffy down would affect me this hard. I’ll NEVER forget the way she was hollering on the trailer as we pulled out, like she knew she wasn’t coming back.. Merida will never understand where her friend went. And sweet Taffy didn’t understand why. Why she couldn’t stay here anymore. The look on her face as I loaded her on the trailer will forever be engraved in my heart. For as much pain she was in, she was sooo excited to go somewhere, she jumped in without a second thought. Today, today is hard. Tomorrow will be hard but it will get better. I will put alll this love I had for taffy into making sure the next horse that comes along, feels as loved and cared for as she did. As I sit here feeling sorry for myself, I will remember her and the strength she had to fight her battle. People who do this to animals don’t deserve them!
