What a fantastic week in Calgary. Already looking forward to next year.
Farrah H champion of the open meters (with a speedy win on saturday) clear in the first round of the 50k All in One Grand Prix and 8th in the 1m mini prix. As always a huge Thank you to Karen for the ride!
Joy Luck TF learned to jump on the grass and finished with a fifth in the 1m speed, and a clear first round in the All in one Grand Prix even navigating all the inside turns of the jump off with just one rail down.
Onwards Grace O’Malley, ridden by my beautiful wife, went to her first big show and was a total saint! Jumping to a 3rd and a 6th in the .6 and getting most of her changes!
Romancero L.S and Mckell Giese had some incredibly great rounds on the grass jumping to a fifth in the meters twice, putting in a wonderful effort in the 1.1 and laying down a flawless clear first round in the All in one Grand Prix.
Switchback Creek and Kristyn Macdonald laid down the speed in the .75 and the .85 with a great second place finish and so much improvement in Patrick’s confidence.
Luminati with Angel Kreciak blew us all away from day one. With 2 first place rounds one in the 2’3 and one in the 2’6, a second place in the 2’3, 2 in the $259 2’6 hunter spectacular and a tie for reserve champion in the 2’6 at his first rated show 🤯
Pardon my Dutch and Kristen Ricker also showed up and showed off, winning every flat class, and getting 2nd and thirds consistently in her over fences ending with reserve champion. I am so excited to see where they are this time next year!
Guarantor and Tara Povalish overcame all the things this past month to show up and take names in Canada! With three fifths, a seventh and an 8th in massive classes. They even navigated a solid .90 course to cap off the week.
Gran Turismo started the week strong with a first over fences with me in the open 2’3 and a second in the flat with Deedee Streiff to earn champion, he then went on to the amateur classes and finished the week with a strong 4th place over fences 🥰 it’s amazing how far this team has come!
Guerrero and Leah Dobby were on fire all week! Winning the .85 speed, coming second in two rounds, putting in a double clean .9 round and taking reserve champion of the .85’s, what a great show for these two!
Gizmo ETC and Stella Dalton completed her first two hunter derbies on the field of dreams and knocked It out of the park! Also winning her 3’6 round and 2nd in her medal and 2nd in the 3’3 hunter round. I am so happy to help this incredibly talented junior!
