We will be having a Puppy Manners class starting Monday, January 8th. Class size is limited!

Those members who have plaques to be engraved for titles earned this year, please be sure to have your plaques to the club on Monday, November 13th between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. OR Wednesday, November 15th between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.



There will be a basket outside the door so that class is not interrupted. Please write down the titles received and what they mean. Example: BN - Beginner Novice. Put your plaque and paper in a plastic bag with your name on it.



If you do not have a plaque, the club will purchase one for you. Please write down the titles you have received and put it in a large plastic bag with your name on it. Don’t forget to put your dog’s name on the slip of paper.

What is AKC Rally?

Think of an AKC Rally event as any team sport: You and your dog navigate a course, side-by-side, as you steer him through a course of 10-20 different signs. Each of these signs provides instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. The dog and handler move continuously throughout the course with the dog under control at the handler’s left side. There is a clear sense of teamwork between the dog and handler both during and between the numbered signs. Although each performance is timed, having a good race time is not the goal; it’s all about working as a team while performing the skills, with the dog under control.
