PSA- Meet Callie. Callie, being a normal young farm dog likes to eat things she finds. Callie ate some horse p**p last weekend and ended up hospitalized. She had toxic levels of ivermectin in her body from eating p**p from recently dewormed horses. The dewormer goes through the horse and remains intact in the horses’ f***s. Callie presented with neurologic signs including stumbling, twitchy eyes, nausea, and vomiting. All her bloodwork and x-rays were normal. After doing some investigating, the doctors figured out she had been exposed to potentially high levels of ivermectin. Callie was treated with supportive care and intralipids to pull the toxins out of her brain. She is feeling a lot better and headed home today. Just a warning- ivermectin horse dewormers can affect ANY breed of dog or cat (some are even more susceptible) for approximately 5 to 7 days AFTER deworming if the p**p is ingested. Make sure to appropriately dispose of any used dewormer tubes and make sure any pets have little to no access to horse p**p after deworming.

Buffalo Run Libby
Proven broodmare with a cuddly attentive personality looking for her person.
Libby is a chestnut and white 2015 GVHS registered mare sired by Clononeen Fionn mac Cumhaill (GVHS 5 Star Gold Medallion Stud) out of WW Gwenaviere. Coming from the famous Paddy horse and also Desert Jewel lines. Had one foal (Buffalo Run Peaches) in 2020 who we are keeping as a broodmare. Libby is a 13.3hh mare and a uniquely colored skewbald Gypsy horse that is incredibly well rounded. She has a strong desire to work and will do just about anything you ask, and will look good doing it! While Libby would benefit from an experienced rider, she has the potential to be an excellent children's horse. We have used her in our summer camp and trail riding program, and she is able to support riders with little to no experience. From dressage to jumping, she has the potential to excel in multiple disciplines. She is also a proven broodmare and has produced a lovely skewbald filly. Without a doubt, Libby is the perfect partner to help you achieve your competitive goals! She is broke to ride and has been started over fences. She’s an in your pocket type of mare and once she has a relationship with you she will be at the gate calling to you every day. No vices or issues.

Buffalo Run Farm's Sage 💚
2016 mare out of BRF The Judge x BRF Saffron
Proven broodmare with a super sweet personality and gorgeous movement!
Sage is a 2016 GVHS registered mare sired by BRF The Judge out of BRF Saffron. Her sire, The Judge, is registered with both GVHS and GHA. He has been evaluated and ranked by the GVHS as a 5 Star Gold Medallion Stallion. He is PSSM1 negative and FIS clear. Her Dam, Saffron, is a sweet mare who is used at our farm in breeding and in our lesson program. Sage had one foal in 2021 (BRF Thyme). She is 14.2hh with great muscle and conformation. She is broke to ride and would make someone a great broodmare, personal horse, or dressage horse for an advanced rider.
