We’re home! And back to wonderful news, such a blessing that Mevie’s DNA genetic health testing is complete. She is 100% genetically clear of the common Yorkshire Terrier breed mutations and 100% clear of any breed mutations. She’s passed yet another breeding hurdle, so far she’s Ms. Unstoppable.🩷🩷🩷

I know this sweet surprise will be a joyous news flash for our waiting families! We spoke with a dear friend of ours in MN last night and guess what? Her cute little guy is going to take Ahsoka on a date next weekend. ♥ My daughter and I will be traveling up north to beautiful MN so we all can get together. We won't be answering messages next weekend, we'll be having too much fun. Niki is coming with us! She could use a road trip. ♥ We do plan on holding back a female from this litter. They are going to make extremely adorable babies!

It’s official, we registered our sweet baby and she’s now officially part of the pack. Pics do not convey how cute she is. The last pic is where she is right now as I post her first online photo album. To follow in suit with her mama’s name (Teffie’s Twist on Twighlight) we have dubbed our new princess, M & M’s Mevie’s Midnight Madness. Pronounced Meh-vee. 🩷 I know this post will be hard for families that were waiting on Niki babies, I know waiting for a baby is hard. 💔 Hang in there, this was a set back, but there are more adorable babies to come!

While waiting for the vet to come in, I couldn't help watching the Puppy Watch video of me & Niki and wondering how all this happened. One minute we were relaxed and waiting for her to deliver and the next plunged into life and death. I know it can happen in a second. I hemorrhaged immediately after giving birth to my 4th child, so I know all too well the risks you face when wanting to bring life into this world. There are no guarantees, that's why life is so precious. A friend asked me if I regret breeding Niki, I think that's a question that can only be answered by the families holding one of her babies today. Niki is FINALLY out of danger and she rose up out of the carrier when the vet came in, we all immediately smiled, I snapped that moment in time and said, "Well Doc, there's strength in my girl yet."

Niki has finally been taken off her antibiotics. Now we pray through the last leg of this sorrowful journey. With the discontinuation of antibiotics running through her, this is still a last opportunity for an infection to take hold from Niki's uterine rupture. She has her final follow-up with Hawthorne Animal Hospital on Monday. They will take blood and give her one more exam and if she clears this last hurdle this sad experience will be behind us. I was hopeful Niki would be in better spirits today, but she's spent the entire day begging for me to hold her. I had laundry and floors to clean, but I just said forget it. I've been cradling her since we woke up together. A dear breeder friend of mine shared her experience, that usually on day 3 after the loss of a pup(s) their depression seems to subside. 💔 All I care about at this moment is that the doctors will finally tell me she is home free on Monday and we can truly start to mend our spirits. Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We were told the sorrowful news that Asche wasn't in any pain but he wouldn't be with us for much longer. I was told I could make the decision for when he left us, but I chose the pain of watching and waiting knowing the inevitable. I gave Niki her time with her baby, because had I been in Niki's shoes, I would have desperately wanted each second without someone else telling me it was time to let go. Asche, our little ashes, went to the Lord last night. He was beautiful. I will never forget you, little guy. I'm so happy that you can run and play now.

Teffie blessed us with 5 babies in the wee hours of the morning. It's fluffy, precious, and unique Merle fur coats everywhere! ♥ Since the families on our waitlist were down for Traditionals or Partis, all of these babies, excluding the trend-setter Dori (the only non-merle baby) are up for immediate adoption. ♥ These little babies are truly unique and so so adorable. We'll post pics of their precious 10 hr old faces soon. In the next few days, their faces will fill out and you'll see how truly precious they are! **ADOPTED*** Precious, tiny, Chudova!!! 🩷 I scooped him up immediately after his video because he was shaking. It’s normal in this growth stage of 5 wks old to be fearful when out of their “den.” Just like children, it’s healthy in puppies’ development to learn to be aware of threats, but snuggles afterwards always assures him that he is safe. He is reserved. He is such a gentle, tiny, beautiful, sweet boy. 🩷

I took a quick video of Kitoko for a sweet mama who is considering adopting him. He has now been officially adopted. Just thought I’d share- who doesn’t enjoy seeing adorable Yorkie puppies 24/7??? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ I’m afraid our family has a serious addiction to it.
