Last horse show for us and Chiika placed First in Western Pleasure! Trailer has been prepped to pick up Apollo this Saturday, and a cute Oreo Turkey wanted all the cuddles after mama was done working. 🥰

We had a great All Arabian Horse Show for our first time there!

This may not be a big deal for some that show a lot, but this is a huge deal for me.

I am officially registered and paid for Michigan All Arabian in May!!! This is my very first breed show ever and I can't wait to see where my horses and I fall when it comes to competing. I'll be showing against friends, people I have met, people I have groomed/worked for in the past. I can't wait!

I can't wait to see everyone and help out where needed. I'll be stalling with Silver Sands Performance Horses as Erica Vickers had so kindly offered. I may not have any kind of fancy set up, but I'm sure I'll have a support flag somewhere. I also printed out shirts with my new logo on them!

Chiika will be showing in classes:

HA/AA Western Pleasure Jr Horse-Friday Evening, second class in.

HA/AA Western Pleasure ATR Championships-Saturday Evening, 6th class in.

HA/AA Performance Halter Mares 3 & Over-Sunday Morning, 18th class in.

Fabio will show in:

HA/AA Geldings In-Hand, 10th Class In.

I would love to invite friends/family to the show! Show is at the MSU Pavillion. Showtime starts at 8am. I show May 5th, 6th, and 7th. ❤️💋❤️

Thank you so much for those that support me and have encouraged me to shoot for my dreams. It's been a slow go, but it's finally happening!

This little girl has surly come a long way in a short amount of time. Spring is almost here and soon her, and Fabio, will be getting back to work for the 2023 show season!

They don’t care.

That’s how I explain horses to potential new owners who inquire with me for advice. I don’t ever want to discourage someone from the adventure of owning horses. But I feel it is my responsibility as a horse woman to look out for their future horses by giving them the harsh reality.

They don’t care if you’re sick.
They don’t care if it’s 0 degrees
They don’t care if you don’t have the money this month.
They don’t care if you’re tired.
They don’t care if you had other plans.
They don’t care if it’s the holidays.
They don’t care if you’re at work.
They don’t care if it’s the middle of the night.

They depend on you. They need fed, every day multiple times a day. They need their stalls cleaned / turned out, every day. They need you to bust ice on freezing days, and bring extra water on hot ones. They need you to care for them when they’re sick, and they are FRAGILE. Seriously, they spend 75% of their life trying to die and vet bills are expensive.

But, it will be your greatest adventure. The right horse will care about you. They will care for you on days you need it most.

So, take lessons, come over and hang out with your horse friends for a day, volunteer to help them out. Make sure it’s something you want to commit to because they didn’t ask to be in your care.

Been a hot minute since I had a pony post update!

Both horses went to another show at MSU a few weeks ago. They did very well! Chiika had her first ride class after only 30 days under saddle.

We will be back this weekend for the Cowboy Christmas Open Horse show East Lansing Michigan's Event ! Please feel free to stop by and say hello!
