Happy Thanksgiving!

Please note that our Belpre and Beverly clinic locations will be CLOSED Thursday, November 23, 2023 in observance of Thanksgiving Day and Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Our clinics will be open 7:30 am on Friday, November 24, 2023 until mid-afternoon appointments are completed.

Belpre clinic will resume normal business hours of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday the following week.

Our Beverly satellite clinic will be open Thursday, November 30, 2023, and closed the remainder of the week following Thanksgiving.

A friendly reminder that our satellite clinic will be resuming normal business hours tomorrow, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at a NEW location: 127 Third Street, Beverly, OH 45715.

Thanks to the support of our clients and the accommodations of the Waterford Community Fairgrounds these past 7 months, Belpre Animal Clinic is taking steps towards opening a more permanent, satellite, veterinary clinic in Beverly, Ohio!

Beginning Wednesday, September 6, 2023, our current satellite clinic trailer will be offering veterinary services by appointment at a NEW location:
127 Third Street, Beverly, OH 45715.

Our Beverly location weekly business hours will not change:
Monday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (CLOSED Labor Day)
Tuesday CLOSED
Wednesday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Thursday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday CLOSED

Our Belpre Animal Clinic Satellite office in Waterford will be CLOSED August 14-23 for the Waterford Community Fair festivities! Our Belpre location clinic and large animal farm call services will remain open with normal business hours.

If you know or see a Waterford fair board member, please join us in thanking them for their wonderful hospitality in accommodating our satellite clinic on their fairgrounds for the past 6 months!

If you have an opportunity to support a kid taking a 4-H or FFA project this fair season, we highly recommend this valuable investment! Congratulations to all of the hard-working kids, clubs and families!

WATERFORD SATELLITE CLINIC
has NEW HOURS!

Our satellite clinic currently located at:
Waterford Fairgrounds

Waterford, OH 45786

Will now be offering veterinary services by appointment between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!
The clinic will be closed on Tuesdays.

We are currently accepting new small animal patients at our Waterford location only.

Large animal haul-in or farm call services are also accepting new patients within a preferred radius of 15 miles from our Belpre or Waterford clinic locations.

ATTENTION: Farm Animal Owners!

Due to new FDA restrictions, many medications that were once available over the counter will soon require a prescription for use.
A veterinarian can only prescribe medications with an existing veterinary-client-patient relationship!
Please read below for additional information on the upcoming changes and restrictions.

Please note, if you are in need of a veterinarian to establish a veterinary-client-patient relationship, you can contact Belpre Animal Clinic at 740-423-5111 to schedule a farm visit and obtain prescription medications in the future.

In June of 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that all medically important antimicrobials will move from over-the-counter to prescription within a 2-year implementation period. Guidance for industry (GFI) #263 is part of a broader effort by FDA to combat antimicrobial resistance, a serious threat to animal and public health.

This change impacts any product that contains Oxytetracycline, Penicillin, Sulfa-based antibiotics (sulfadimethoxine and sulfamethazine), Tylosin, Cephapirin and Cephapirin Benzathine, Lincomycin and Gentamicin.

Beginning June 11, 2023, all medically important antibiotics currently available at most feed or farm supply stores will now require veterinary oversight (written prescription) to be used in animals, even if the animals are not intended for food production. To continue using medically important antimicrobials, you may need to establish a veterinary-client-patient relationship. A veterinarian-client-patient-relationship is a formal relationship that you have with a veterinarian who serves as your primary contact for all veterinary services and is familiar with you, your livestock/animals, and your farm operation. The same restrictions will apply to all companion and farm animal species.

As many businesses face a variety of staffing shortages, it makes us happy as a lark to introduce our newest, fair-feathered receptionist to the Belpre Animal Clinic team!

We anticipate our new employee will take like a duck to water, with its ability to answer phone calls and repeat patient care directions that are narrated frequently enough to be easily memorized and mimicked.

BELPRE ANIMAL CLINIC SATELLITE UNIT - Waterford, OH
We have plenty of appointment slots available! Please call 740-423-5111 to schedule one for your pet or farm animal.

We can see dogs and cats as well as farm animals at our clinic locations or visit your farm to treat farm animals (15-20 miles from our Belpre or Waterford locations).

The satellite unit is equipped for routine examinations, vaccinations and treatment of a variety of medical concerns with your animals. Wait times are short and we may be biased, but we think our staff are among the best! 😊

*** Emergent or more serious medical concerns will most likely be advised to schedule at our Belpre location or visit an emergency specialty clinic depending on what is deemed best for your animal’s situation. ***

Belpre Animal Clinic is pleased to announce that it will be opening a mobile, satellite clinic to provide expanded companion and farm animal veterinary services to the Waterford/Beverly and surrounding, southeast Ohio communities. The mobile clinic will initially be parked at: Waterford Community Fairgrounds, 19185 State Route 339, Waterford, OH 45786.

It is projected to open February 1, 2023. Appointment hours will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Belpre Animal Clinic WILL be accepting new patients for companion and farm animal haul-in appointments as well as offering farm call services within a 15 mile radius of Belpre and Waterford/Beverly.

Please call the Belpre Animal Clinic to schedule an appointment at either our Belpre or Mobile Satellite clinic locations: 740-423-5111.
