Why should humans have all the fun? This year, let’s get our dogs in on the celebration with a delicious and dog-friendly homemade ice cream recipe! 🎉🐶

Paw-some Dog Ice Cream Recipe:

Ingredients:
🍌 1 Ripe Banana
🥜 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
🥛 1 cup Plain Natural Yogurt
🍯 1 teaspoon Honey

Instructions:

Mash the ripe banana in a bowl until smooth.
Add peanut butter, yogurt, and honey. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Pour the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds.
Freeze for a few hours or until solid.
Serve to your pup and watch their tail wag with joy!

Did you know that chocolate is toxic to dogs? It contains theobromine and caffeine, which can cause serious health issues like increased heart rate, high blood pressure, agitation, tremors, and even seizures. Dogs metabolize these compounds differently than humans, making them more sensitive to chocolate’s harmful effects.

The darker and more bitter the chocolate, the more dangerous it is for your furry friend. While it’s rarely fatal, ingestion can still result in significant illness, including vomiting, diarrhea, and pancreatitis.

If your dog accidentally eats chocolate, contact your veterinarian or the Pet Poison Helpline at 1-800-213-6680 immediately. The sooner treatment begins, the better the prognosis.

We're thrilled to announce our new class, Introduction to Odor Nose Work, is starting soon! In this class, your dog will begin searching for Birch, one of the primary odors used in competition. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your dog's natural scenting abilities and build a strong foundation in K9 Nose Work.

🌟 Class Details:
Dates: Wednesdays at 8:15pm, July 10 - August 21
Location: Meyer’s Tails Up Farm, 5390 Irene Road, Belvidere IL

🐕 What to Expect:
Dogs will search individually to ensure a safe and secure environment.
While waiting for their turn, dogs will be comfortably crated in the building or can wait securely in your car.

📋 Prerequisites:
Completion of Introduction to K9 Nose Work or instructor approval is required.
