At eight years of age, he began working with his Dad doing projects and getting in the way. Dad was very patient, he instilled Jeff into the art, love, and skills that make for beautiful furniture. Most young men spend their time playing sports or video games, Jeff preferred the wood shop. Even when young and married, he convinced his wife that table saws, routers, and hardwood inventory stood sec
ond only to her in natural beauty. Everything else was a distant third. Thankfully, he was able to balance things out by crafting awesome hardwood cabinets for their first home renovation. Thirty years, ten house flips, and three children later, all is well. Jeff has retired early from his career to work on what he loves to do; crafting beauty from wood and steel. He has learned to specialize in natural edge thick slab designs. This gives The Blind Dog it's unique, distinctive character. Jeff says "I like to work with exotic wood specie that others might pass by". According to Jeff, the difference between good and great has three elements - you must be able to make a living at what you do, be good at what you do, and you must love what you do.
