I had to get one last ride in on Whinnie last night to end her 2 yr old year 🥰

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and happy new year! We’re back to riding on Monday after a little break. At lessons I usually ask “what was your favorite part of your day”. Well this week I’ll be asking a little different question… we’ll be talking about what your riding goal for this year is. Here’s your warning to start brainstorming! It can be anything from nailing that flying lead change, to sorting 10 head at a show. My goal this year is to hit a breakaway jackpot with Austin and to pick up a check sorting with Whinnie. I’m excited to hear what everyone comes up with!
If you’re one of my students on my waiting list please send me a message. I have a couple extra days in the next week available for lessons. I know this week is going to be cold! If you choose to not ride please give me a 24 hour notice of your cancellation. Remember, there are kids waiting to ride if you choose not to.

These girls showed up to ride today! High Hill girls cleaned up in the pro am. Congratulations to Paige on 1st with Jeff C, Anna on 2nd with Jeff T, and Kennedy on 3rd with Brooke.

I took this crew with our cow ponies and split reins to a barrel race today! We had a great time and even picked up a few checks 🤠

My Monday night girls. They were all bundled up and had a great night riding together. I love not only how far these two have came with their riding, but listening to the two of them in the barn, helping eachother lift saddles, put blankets on, that’s what it’s all about 😁

Group barn lessons: the kids LOVE these and learn a lot. We do more than horses at these lessons. They’ll work on parts of the horse and tack, plus work around the cows and chickens. We’ll take a little break for a snack and a craft with mom. December 4th from 5-7. This one will be for the younger kids. Ages 3-7. Sign up with me today 🥰

The bump is bumping. Whiskey is at 135 days with her little bun in the oven. Each week as the kids come for their lesson we talk about that baby growing. Right now it’s around the size of a small rabbit. I rub her belly and tell her to brew a blue roan but I’ll just be happy to have a healthy baby and momma.

Today is the first day of lessons at the indoor. Everyone is settled into their stalls where we will spend the winter riding indoors! Happy to have this opportunity. Looking forward to seeing everyone this week.
