Well we made it to the fair with cows and all was going well. Then our two yearling heifers decided to have a melt down . First was they forgot how to be tied and where telling everyone and going to pull the barn down. They settled down from that, Raven decided to jump on and kick Tyler Gaines in the ankle, as he was trying to untie her to go to water, we believe he has a torn tendon or ligament. Hannah Rios will have to check that out later. And then Shadow who has always been pretty mello goes completely bonkers for about 10 minutes, it looked like a bulldogging gone wrong!😎 Ben Gaines for jumping rite in when the situation was becoming out of control, getting tossed around and paying for it today. Thanks to Edward Powers , best brother in the world, Jen Soucy Gannon ( John Gannon) who also jumped rite into the s**t show to help. All very much appreciated! Great friends and family when the going gets tough.❤ Things were much better this morning, all are washed, watered and much more sane! Let's hope that is the end of the antics for the week! 🤠

If you have noticed a decrease in your hens egg production during this heat. Make sure your water is staying cool all day. Put some frozen water bottles in your waters to keep it cool. Also hens need to be able to dip their beaks to cool off , use wateres that they are able to do this. If have ni**le waters need to put out some waters that allow for beak dipping.
