🎉So I saw a genius idea this morning, I’m going to copy it! I’m going to start a private group for volunteers to join and I will try and do my best to post a weekly or daily plan. If you would like to join this group to know exactly what the heck is going on and what fun things you can join in on around here, this might be helpful. If I get to slacking shoot me a message and ask what’s happening that week. It might be that I’m headed to get sawdust and you want to tag along or mucking pens, or taking babies for a walk, lots to do and your more then welcome to join the fun. Parents ask me if kids can volunteer, I don’t mind at all as long as you plan on staying with your young one. If they are older and horse crazy and well behaved then please drop them and pick them up later 😂 some days it’s just a crafty day making swag, or cleaning tack for the tack shop, there’s always something. We also are always looking for new ideas so this group is perfect to bring your ideas to light, be part of the solution to the over populated horse issues. So stay tuned for me to post this private group. Those donors out there that are not local feel free to join as you are a huge part of our Sugar Shack Horses
PS this is Serenity in 2022 after we grafted a very skinny sick foal Elvis on to her. Her milk bar saved his life.

🔥Happy neigh hay day Friday, we are now buying big bales of hay from Jordan Hay Company $180 a bale. Along with alfalfa from our local feed store NorthWest farm and feed they are $19 a bale so $133 a week. So a total of $313 a week in just hay. 🔥as we move forward into 2024 I’m asking for some major help with vetting the Sugar Shack Horses. Wanting to raise $2,500.00 this will cover a large portion of our up coming vet day with our vet Ernie Munck. This will allow all mommas to be ready to become foster mommas to orphans that come in. Once im able to get boys gelded they then can go out to pasture with Sparky and Freddy and learn horse rules. Of course run and play as well. But orphans need to be taught what is ok and what is not ok within the horse herd. This will also free up my barn for Orphans to come in. We literally are week to week with hay and feed and often struggle making sure everyone is well fed and well taken care of. We cannot afford the vetting on our own and this is why Im reaching out. Hoping and praying to get all vetting done befor the orphans start coming in as that is a intire new vet bill. I have a used tack shop here at our rescue if you come and shop 💯 proceeds go back into the rescue, i have shirts for sale as well. There are some babies from 2023 that are coming yearlings in April and June that are available for adoption.
