Every single penny goes directly to caring for our dogs in need.
Matty and many others volunteer their time to organize this event and so many businesses step up to supply auction items and services.

Right now, the need is huge! TPBP is overwhelmed and has to turn away 10+ intake requests DAILY! Without help we won't be able to support the 100 dogs already in our care. We're comfortable with about 40 dogs but all year they just keep coming, why you ask?
1. COVID!
2. Everyone adopted, it was a phenomenal year due to the stay home orders.
3. Nobody could get spay/neuters done, due to the stay home orders.
4. Nobody could get training, due to the stay home orders.
5. NOBODY COULD SOCIALIZE THEIR DOGS, DUE TO THE STAY HOME ORDERS.
6. People thought BREEDING was a great income opportunity
7. People go back to work
8. People started surrendering their dogs because the dogs don't know how to be home alone, are untrained, unsocialized and producing puppies!!!
9. Shelters close to the owner surrenders.
10. Rescues got filled up but still tried to help.
11. Overwhelmed by so many intake requests.
12. Dogs are being euthanized because there's nowhere for them to go!
13. TPBP is closed to new intakes due to having 100 dogs in our program and nowhere else to put them.
14. Literally, NOWHERE ELSE TO PUT DOGS.
15. Now what?

Funds raised at this poker run event will help us prepare our dogs for adoption, provide food and other supplies necessary to continue to care for them and find homes.

We need our community to rally for the dogs dumped, abandoned and neglected by our community and fix this problem!!!

The need is higher than ever before due to Covid backlash, lack of resources, no spay services, no training, no socialization, and tons of people thought backyard breeding was a fabulous idea and when people went back to work and school and decided their loving family pets were disposable and the floodgates opened with a barrage of intake requests and we just can’t keep up anymore. Our resources are depleted, our volunteers are exhausted, our fosters are full, we’re fielding strays, dumped dogs and litters of puppies are found daily and brought to us and we’re full and maxed out and can’t do anything but you can help so let’s make this event better than ever and we’re excited to get to hang with you all
