I've got my hay in for winter, the horses that need it have started wearing blankets & my stallion report is filed. The gator's in for pre-winter tune up & the mower will go in soon for winter service to be ready for spring.Down time on the ranch, just tending the horses.

The stars aligned today, I felt good, the weather was decent & Freckles is 2 weeks post weaning, so I decided to see how riding felt after another year out of the saddle.....better than a year ago! My body is finally feeling almost normal. I sure do appreciate Freckles, she's still solid even after a year off to have this lovely filly in the photo.

We did a video shoot with Cash last week. I knew he'd be pretty laid back in the arena by himself with me outside trying to get him to show off. And I know I'm out of shape for running, but now I'll have totry using the gator outside to see if he won't strut his stuff!

Looking for the perfect partner! This is J S Mucho Dinero, aka Cash, foaled 3/25/252025, a c**t by Hollywood Hotspot out of our sport horse mare J S Amazing Grace. He is 1/2 Appaloosa, 1/4 Thoroughbred and 1/4 Dutch Warmblood and should mature around 16.2hh. Cash had a rough start in life, though you can't tell it now, and he's done extremely well and has been off milk replacer and on pasture, grain and alfalfa pellets since he was 3 months old.
Cash is bred to be an athlete and has been practicing around the farm, hopping over logs in the field & fording the creek- could be your next eventer! He's a brave fellow, unafraid of the farm equipment since 'mom' drives the mower and gator. He has had several trailer rides, leads well, stands tied for grooming and hoof care, takes meds like it's candy and is UTD on shots and worming. As a stallion he can be registered AWS, but is scheduled for gelding Nov 4th at which time he'll be registered ApHC. This special c**t is offered at 84xx to a partner that will develop him into the superb athlete he is meant to be and provide him with his favorite treats- peppermint lifesavers and grapes. Serious inquiries only please.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to the Berea Fire Dept B shift & our neighbor Mark Cox for getting our mare out of the creek yesterday! She's making a great recovery for being 30+ years old.

With this recent cool-down & feeling all-around better myself, I've been thinking I could get back in the saddle. Freckles is about 6 weeks from weaning her filly, so running around with mom in the arena shouldn't be a big deal. So, went through & cleaned all my tack the last 3 days, saddlrs, bridles & show halters.

Cash was keeping me company while I finished mowing weeds in the pasture he's in...not afraid of the noise or the machine, but he prefers it if I turn the blade engine down so the clippings don't blast his legs if I pass by him that side. He's going to make someone a very special partner!
