Great American Mutt Show

Five years ago, the BDC established the Chicagoland Great American Mutt Show to fill the unmet demands of dog lovers searching for a venue to showcase the spirit and individuality of their dogs. This year, the event will move to the Depot District and be taken over by Berwyn's The Urban Mutt. The event will continue to feature a wide variety of lively entertainment-based competitions for mutts and

purebreds alike. There will be lots to do and see at this year's event, including on stage demonstrations, manufacturer representatives from some of your favorite brands, an interactive zone where you can try out some great new products with your pup, a build-your-pupcake table where you can make your own custom doggy treats, and more! Another unique feature of the event this year, is the Rescues on the Runway Doggy Fashion Show. The 30 minute show will showcase adoptable dogs from Waggin' Tails Animal Shelter modeling the latest canine couture. Each dog will also come with an adoption package that includes the outfit they are wearing, a collar, leash, food voucher, toy, tag voucher, and welcome kit. Our hope is that all the dogs will find a loving home with a family that truly appreciates them!
