These steps are so important!! When you find a dog in a town, you have to contact that town's Animal Control Officer or call the police non-emergency number if it is after hours. The easiest way to find out what town you are in is to pull maps up on your phone. We love the ACOs in the town's surrounding us and communicate frequently with them, but if you move the animal out of the town that they live in, or are found in it becomes harder for us to reunite them. Thank you as always for being our extra eyes and ears.

About us

Escape The Crate, LLC uses force free training to eliminate behavioral issues and build trusting bonds between owners and their pets. We also offer pet sitting in a home environment without the use of kennels which eliminates stress for the pet and the owner.

Janis Copes, has had a love of dogs all her life and at a young age dreamt of training Seeing Eye Dogs. Janis’ first exposure to obedience training was in 1986 with her Maltese, Tara and has continued to train all of her dogs in obedience since. Janis has two rescue dogs: Sissy is an Australian Cattle Dog mix and Credentialed Therapy Dog, Clark is a Schnauzer mix. Janis is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, studied at Animal Behavior College and a Former Animal Assisted Therapy Services (AaTs) Board Member and Canine Committee Co-Chair.

Escape The Crate works with AaTs in therapeutic settings with mentally and emotionally disabled children, teenagers and adults. Escape The Crate has partnered with AaTs to board and train Emotional Support Animals.
