** S.O.S. Food Donations **

We want to share an important update regarding our food donation policy. While we've been fortunate to avoid any major issues in the past, we recently experienced a pantry moth infestation that significantly impacted our stored food supply.

Our storage of food for the dogs of Outcast Rescue was affected, and sadly, we lost a large portion of what we had to feed the dogs in our care.

Sting Operation Pest Control jumped in immediately to get rid of the infestation, and we were able to save a small portion of our supply. However, every bag that was opened, taped, or even had a small tear had to be discarded. The safety of our dogs is our top priority, and we couldn't take any risks.

Pantry moths can affect any location where food is stored — even items coming directly from manufacturers or warehouses. Unfortunately, this is a risk that comes with food storage, and despite our best efforts, this is the first time we've been affected in such a way.

To prevent this from happening again and to ensure the safety and integrity of all food we distribute, we will no longer be able to accept open bags of food or treats. While we’ve always appreciated every donation, we must now take this step to protect our inventory and the animals who depend on it.

We’re incredibly grateful to Sting Operation Pest Control, who has generously stepped in to help by donating monthly pest control treatments moving forward. Their support ensures that we can continue storing and distributing food safely.

With over 50 dogs currently in the rescue, we’ve now come to a point where we truly need help.
We are devastated that we even have to make this plea to you all, our supporters.
We are in desperate need of both adult and puppy food to replenish what was lost and continue feeding the dogs in our care.
