If you follow our page Jess is having another not planned litter under her vet's care. We met with them today and made a plan. NOT what we wanted but I didn't want to terminate it. If you are interested in a pup let us know. She has at least 7 that we saw on ultrasound along with strong heartbeats!

Last night was a scary night for us. I got home fed Jessie and then had dinner. I noticed her panting a lot and hard. She went to come up the back deck stairs and I herd a bang then her come up, I realized she fell. I let her in the house where she continued to pant. I took her back in the garage and filled the water bucket she started to drink and I went in the house. Came out in the garage and her face was all wet. I realized then she had face planted in the bucket. I brought her in and dried her off. Asked her to come on the couch and she couldn't jump up. I immediately looked up her symptoms and sounded like eclampsia (milk fever). I loaded her up and took her to emergency! I have never experienced this with any of my females. It is common with smaller dogs but I knew she had it. It happens when a dog's calcium drops. If caught early it's treatable. If left too long death could happen. She is a happy girl now and back to her puppies.
