As the years go on more and more people are hatching and selling poultry. I love seeing it and love when people support local! I want to make a post with all the perks Pioneer Poultry offers, in hopes that you use us or continue using us:). We started pretty small in 2021 and have just grown from there. We offer many many varieties of chicks. We also offer turkeys, quail, ducks, keets, chukar, hatching eggs, and more as the opportunity arises.
Other perks of being our customer:
*S*xing isn't 100% but we vent s*x and are about 90% accurate. Having s*xed chicks is so much nicer. This way you don't have to many roosters hurting your hens. In the chance that you get a rooster, when you were suppose to receive a pullet, we will take that rooster back and give you a free pullet (chick) next order. This is only for s*xed poultry. We don't s*x some things. So always confirm with us when placing an order:).
*Is your bird sick? Is it limping? Do you need advise or help? The answer is usually yes to this! Being my customer I will try to help with all this. I am very knowledgeable on care. I focus on poultry about 5 hours a day and read every new article I can find. I may not be able to fix or diagnose but I am always here for help & advise. This year I will not be able to give advise or help to none customers. We are staying fairly busy and we are limiting this to customers only.
*We strive to have healthy hatches. We keep our poultry for 3-7 days after hatch to confirm health. Losing poultry when young is very common. We try our hardest so this doesn't happen to you. Our loose ratio is low compared to the feed stores. You can go into the feed stores and buy 10 chicks, a lot of the time 5 will die. They are usually weak and susceptible to death. We don't sell anything that looks weak or unhealthy. We strive to provide accurate brooding and health care to all animals on our premises.
*To many birds? Are you moving? Do you need to rotate stock? As a customer we offer to list the poultry you bought from us for sale. We understand you bought 60 chicks and can only house 40 haha. We can help you sell those extra 20. We have a pretty large audience and can usually find homes. This is a great perk and seems to work very well.
