Well, here is Scarlett, renamed Denali Autumn, and I on the same day as the picture of Kiska and I three and a half years ago. Denali weighed 6.24lbs compared to Kiska’s 7.5lbs.so we’re guessing Denali will be right about 12lbs full grown.

This is from March 24, 2022, five days after Kiska hit 12 weeks old. We’re almost there with this litter of puppies. I’ll try to take a picture of Scarlett on the same day to compare sizes. I feel like she’s smaller but I’ll know for sure at the vet Monday, and these pics remind me of how small Kiska was even tho this one makes her look big. She’s a lot of fluff. And we’ll see how much older I look!

And just like that, eight weeks of fun began to come to a close as Gracie Marie, AKA Bonnie Blue, went home yesterday to be Macee Boggs’ Best Friend Forever! Gracie has been such a delight to raise, one part angel, two parts rascal, she kept us on our toes from being the one to learn to climb out of the whelping box, to being the first one across the floor to snuggle and cover our faces in kisses, hiding in my flower bush, and learning get down the steps to go potty where the big dogs do it, she’s been a joy! Check out the basket pics from one day old to yesterday to see how she’s grown! I’m so glad she’ll be close enough for play dates so we can watch her grow up!!!

If I searched the world over I do not think I could find a better Aunt Hazel for Kiska’s puppies! Every morning the puppies are so excited to greet her when she comes out, ain’t no fear of other dogs here! And she’s so patient and good with them. I love her Husky Talking to them, she does it 100% of the time she plays with them! We saw her the other day, interrupt Kiska who was giving warning growls to the puppy that was getting too close to her bone, honestly, she was trying to chew it alongside her mom which was very much crossing Kiska’s boundaries, and Hazel pushes in, chases Kiska off, and nudged the bone over to the puppy!!! And when a puppy wrestles too hard and hurts her sister, Hazel beats me every single time to check it out and break up the dog fight. Scarlett found her voice days ago and Melly learned last night to speak up and let Hazel know when she’s had enough. Bonnie, I’m not sure ever had too much! Look at her chasing as Hazel exits at the end of the video!

All of the puppies LOVE Aunt Hazel and she LOVES them. But Scarlett plays the very most with her and when she’s had enough, Hazel has never had enough, Scarlett gives her what for, letting Hazel know it’s time for a break. Who’s surprised to hear Scarlett has a big enough personality to do that!?!

Yay! Puppies demonstrating how they go outside to use the restroom. I’ve been saying “Go Potty” but that command could change if you don’t like it. I taught Kiska “Find a Good Spot.” And Bonnie’s name is Gracie, and Melly’s name is Penny. Scarlett is staying home with us and her name is still a discussion topic and a mystery so far.
