Day TEN!!

Rounding out the last few days of our 12 Days of Giving with another hot topic- permanent stabling.

We hear you! We hate the panels, too! We are hoping to add 26 additional permanent stalls to our current 24 permanent stalls, which would allow our competitors to have much more comfortable accommodations while they are here enjoying the park for our various events.

Hard to believe we’re already on day NINE!

Once again we’re going back to the grass roots goals from the origination of the park. It’s our responsibility to be good stewards of the land that we get to use and enjoy. It’s a big responsibility and we want to take the right steps moving forward to fulfill our obligation to this property to keep it healthy and thriving for years to come.

We’re hoping to plant some trees and other vegetation around the park (with the advice from a local expert who knows what will survive our elements) to help serve as a wind shelter, snow fence, and shade for both our two legged and four legged visitors.

Allessandra Allen-Shinn, of Ride Sharp Course Design, has done an OUTSTANDING job of improving our jumps and courses, both cross country and stadium, over the last several years.

One thing that we only wish we could have a little more say in, is how hard and tedious our ground is. We have done a TON of research and gone back and forth on the right implement to help with this problem. We believe we have found one that just might do the trick! However, it's an investment, and we could use your help.

In just six short days we have raised over $700 to support the Park! Thank you thank you - we hope that each of you has a chance to come enjoy the improvements that your generosity has helped to make happen!

Day Seven today! I wanted to share a little history about Warfield Park... I'll try to keep it short. 🤣

From what I have been told over the 23 years that the Park has been open- the initial and most motivational vision and goal that the originators had for the Park were rooted in preserving a space where kids who were just learning about the world of horses. I was a young pony clubber (I believe I was eleven when the Park was established HA!) and we didn't have a local place to go to gather to ride. A handful of local families, who also had ties to Pony Club, are the ones who put endless long hours into paperwork, logistics, and all the man hours into the Park to bring it to fruition.

I, personally, and I know many others, have many, many memories of riding at Warfield during my younger years. I feel like I'm in the right company to say, as a little girl, those memories forever changed my life (can you relate?!) I was SO lucky to be a part of this kind of community to know what can happen when people come together with a common goal. It still warms my heart each time I see one of my old friends from back in "the Pony Club days!"

We truly hope to be able to continue to be able to provide a space for all kinds of groups to gather, learn, enjoy comradery, and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

SO - Today we're asking for donations to help sponsor youth riders who may not otherwise be able to attend and have access to educational opportunities that we host over the course of the year.

This is a BIG one. The water jump!!!

Again, our water complex is showing us it's twenty plus years of love. Our eventers know that the water complex is a core piece of their cross country run, but our working equitation riders also have a water question in their testing. Improving our water jump would be beneficial for all of the current groups using Warfield, but for our entire community to use to school their horses through water safely.

We shared with you earlier this week that we haul our water. Because our liner is so old, our water jump leaks and won't hold water for a full day or overnight - leading to weekend charges on deliveries for shows and event, which also leads to increased cost that is a huge financial challenge for the park. The ultimate solution to both of these issues, is a new liner, base, and foundation. In addition to asking for donations for upgrades for water reasons- our biggest concern is SAFETY. Some of the old foundational logs need to be replaced before we can run Arrowhead in 2025. So this is a NEED for our community.

We realize this is a huge expenditure but truly believe it is a foundational piece of the park. Please help!

DAY F I V E! Here we go!! Happy Saturday guys!

We have been running our annual horse-trials event since 2001. For 23 years we have used a “temporary” start box to send our riders out on the course.
To ensure the safety of our riders and volunteers during this event, we are asking for donations for lumber and materials to allow us to build a new Start Box for our 2025 event.

Water is one of our biggest challenges at the Park. It's such a vital part of what we do, as well as the health of our horses! Because the water jump doesn't hold water, it's almost financially impossible to fill it outside of the Horse Trials for schooling (huge bummer). We hope to be able to revamp the water jump in the future - stay tuned for day 6 🎄😉

In addition to the water jump, however, it's important that we can offer our equine partners access to clean water while they are here. Help us keep the cisterns full!

Our current rails have seen countless rides and jumps over the years, and it’s time for a refresh! With your help, we can replace worn-out equipment and introduce vibrant, professional-grade jumps that inspire confidence and skill-building in our riders.

Here we go with day TWO!

Each year we maintain equipment, the grounds, including the roads and buildings, and the cross country course for our members.
