Because of a huge outbreak of canine influenza all vaccines will have to be current and a copy sent with your transporter and preferably administered by the vet before pickup.
We also still require Health Certificates for travel.
Pups must be 8wks or older. Current on all vaccs.
We do offer VIP at this time.
*IN town delivery.

*VIP- PICKUP STRAIGHT TO DELIVERY WITH ONE MOTEL VISIT IF NEEDED FOR SLEEP. (These transports are normally pretty high)

*12-17 hrs normal delivery within 3-4 days for drop off.
Anything over 17hrs is 7-10days before drop off.

General Info

Here is a run down of my thorough conversation with another USDA licensing/reg/inspection official today…(which makes 5 total who have had the SAME answers out of 5)

1. Federal Law REQUIRES ALL pet transporters for exchange MUST have Class T reg.
2. If people are transporting without USDA reg a complaint can be made to USDA (anon).
3. If USDA finds somebody not in compliance…they will supply them the proper paperwork and give them opportunity to become compliant. If they do not become compliant in that time frame or refuse, they will be ticketed to appear in federal court in violation of the law requiring USDA reg to transport…or what ever violation they were noted for.
4. WIRE crates… Blue Book is VERY clear wire crates do NOT fit regulation requirements. IF an inspector tries to tell you wire crates are acceptable…make sure you get it in WRITING from them to cover your ass as they are NOT USDA compliant. Anytime somebody tells you they will accept something out of the blue book regulations, it better be in writing as any other inspector can revert to the blue book and hold you accountable for being out of compliance. Because “” says only counts if it is issued to you in writing.
5. HEALTH CERTIFICATES!!! State Dept of Ag health certs do NOT count!!! Health certs must be USDA form ONLY for pets. State Dept of Ag health certs are for LIVESTOCK (which USDA does not regulate and is regulated at state level). The exact verbiage I have gotten is if a client cannot get a health cert on USDA form….tell your client to go to another vet as pets MUST have USDA form to be USDA compliant for transport.

Hope this helps everybody. If people are telling you things are accepted or ok, CALL the USDA office and ask yourself and don’t go by what others say. Any transporter in violation of USDA (registered or not) is open to anon complaints being filed with USDA and is subject to USDA sanctions if they refuse to comply.
