We never expect any gifts or even ‘thank you’s’ because we know that times can be hard mentally and financially for everyone. But, on the occasion that a client expresses their gratitude for services that we’ve provided our hearts melt with appreciation. We received these beautiful flowers from a client after a very hard decision had to be made for their beloved pet. We appreciate every single person (and pet 🥰🐾) that walks through our doors and try to give all the love and compassion we possibly can. We are here to educate, provide, and support the needs of you and your furry babies. ❤️

We’d like to make a special shoutout about our very own Dr. Erin Rakosky 🔦✨👩🏼‍⚕️

We are thrilled to highlight the exceptional achievements of our esteemed Dr. Rakosky, whose expertise extends beyond veterinary medicine to include knowledge in sports medicine. Dr. Rakosky participates in fly ball and agility tournaments around the world, further solidifying her reputation as a book of knowledge in the sports field. Her and her flyball team even traveled to France and were crowned champions 🥇 in 2019 just before the Covid pandemic.

Dr. Rakosky’s love for animals and determination to help provide the best possible care and medicine has helped our community’s pets decrease in heartworm positive numbers, parvovirus outbreaks, and allergy and pain issues. Whether you’re scheduling your 4-legged loved one 🐾 an appointment for a health exam and vaccines or if there is a problem you are wanting to have checked out, Dr. Rakosky is here to treat it all! Hey everyone! 👋🏼 Animal Hospital Biscoe is extremely proud to be among one of the first animal hospitals in the country to offer a brand new treatment for osteoarthritis called Librela.

Librela is the first and only monthly monoclonal antibody injection to control osteoarthritis (OA) pain in dogs. OA is typically caused by the breakdown of cartilage in the joints. This can be due to the natural aging process, genetic predisposition, obesity, injuries, or other factors that can cause wear and tear on the joints. It can adversely affect your dogs health and overall well-being when left untreated.

Signs that your dog may have OA:
1) Limping
2) Rising more slowly when getting up
3) Difficulty climbing stairs or jumping
4) Stiffness
5) Lagging behind on everyday walks or getting tired easily
6) Weakness when standing

If your dog is showing any of the above signs, they may be feeding the effects of osteoarthritis. Please give us a call if you observe any of these signals from your dog.

Librela is a low-cost monthly injection given by a veterinarian for pain control, so this is great if your furry friend won’t take pills! If your dog already takes medication for OA, give us a call to see if Librela can aid, or even be a complete replacement for your current medications!

Still have some doubts? We know every pet’s results may vary, but isn’t it worth a chance for them to finally have some relief? Even though there is not a cure for OA, we can certainly control the pain that it causes ❤️‍🩹 We have already had success stories here at Animal Hospital Biscoe!
