I need some help and direction on how to market a foal as a charitable donation for juvenile diabetes. We are a 501c and looking for a gifted marketing designer who can help us put the best advantage to our quality Khohinoor MW AWPA nominated, MN Medallion, and sweepstakes filly as someone’s future who in turn will help diabetic children thrive at our farm. I can not think of a better breed than an Arabian to teach compassion, confidence, and loyalty.
Here is our story post COVID two of my grand daughters were dx with type 1 Diabetes. Most don’t know but children with COVID had an alarming increase rate by 85% to now be diabetics from previous years. The saddest photo bringing tears to my eyes was my grand daughters first Halloween party at school after dx. All the kids on a photo laughing giggling looking so proud in their costumes. One thing was missing in the photo, My grand daugter. She was sitting alone in her gorgeous costume still smiling but looking isolated. (Tears) I asked her why not with everyone and her answer made me understand the daily struggles not only to manage her disease, but the magnitude of how her life changed from normalcy. “Nana I ‘m not like other kids. I have a phone that beeps, I have to stop playing outside because I need a snack, sometimes I have to go the the bathroom more, other kids get mad at me because I am causing class to stop. I feel alone sometimes. “ from that day forward my promise to her is to build a group using our horses to bring other diabetics and their families together. To help not only medically understand but socially and spiritually support this life altering change they now must live with. So my goal is to have a strong equine and Canine therapy program that will blossom. Our foals are a way of giving back and proceeding ahead. The charitable sale is tax deductible and I’m going to do what is necessary to get there. We have some amazing foals this year for this purpose only.
And just so you know there is a beautiful book called taking your diabetes to school every class should read on pet therapy day. It helped wonders.

I would like to share and announce that Seymour School district grade 6-12 will now have a Equestrian Team in District 6 through the Wisconsin Interscholastic Horsemanship Association. I will share the links below for sign up of all kids interested in being part of this team and look forward to being a coach, mentor, and sideline cheerleader as we take on this new adventure together. Registration must be completed by August 7 at the latest for both students and parents. There is a cost of 45$ to cover liability insurance. Additional charges will incur when each student shows for class fees, stalls, and office fees. I have been told 75-200$ depending on local, district and then state if the team is privilege to be at state level. Classes are not on a pleasure type demonstration but more on horsemanship with patterns both in hand and under saddle. When you go to the WIHA website you will choose Seymour high or middle school depending on your child's grade. Our Seymour Team name will be Seymour Hooves of Thunder. Please put that in the blank as the team name. We have selection of High or Middle school if you do online then add it. here is the form to be a member for students
https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSfISiq6qxaHTF.../viewform
rules and regulations to review:
https://drive.google.com/.../1QFshIIB.../view
Mission Statement: This constitution is established to facilitate interscholastic competition, promote a sound program of educational enrichment value and encourage a cooperative, democratic process of fair and good horsemanship.
What is the purpose of the WIHA? The purpose of the organization is to promote continuous growth in programs fostering horsemanship education, sponsor activities to encourage interscholastic participation and to have cooperative adult supervised leadership (coaching) for all students in grades 6-12 who are desirous to participate regardless of race, creed or national origin and meet the association rules and regulations.
Who governs the WIHA? WIHA is its own governing body and is not affiliated with any other group or organization. WIHA is also completely self-funded, but will accept sponsorship from outside sources.
When is the WIHA season? The WIHA season runs from August 15th through November 1st of the current year. Each district is required to have 3 shows per season.
What riding disciplines are involved? Western, Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat and timed events are the major types of riding. Riders compete as a team and are judged on horsemanship, not the horse.
How is the State of Wisconsin divided up? Wisconsin is divided up into 6 separate districts. The current WIHA district map is located on the WIHA website.
Does your school have to approve the WIHA in order to participate? No. It is not mandatory to have the school’s approval, but it is appreciated by the WIHA.
What is the school’s involvement? The only involvement of the school is the use of a meeting space for students on the team. Perhaps use of school’s colors and/or logo on team clothing, to help with the team spirit. Although not mandatory, WIHA encourages the school to accept the team as a sport or group that is eligible for lettering. The team might want to display their trophy in the school’s trophy case and be in the school yearbook.
What about insurance? The WIHA has its own insurance coverage for all WIHA sponsored events.
How are teams formed? Teams are formed in each school district by an adult volunteer and/or coach. The coach is responsible for the team. There are no special qualifications to be a coach, like being a horse trainer, you just need to be organized and enjoy working with students.
What is the cost to join WIHA? The re is an annual membership fee of $45 of which $5 from each membership goes into the scholarship fund and $5 from each membership goes toward the WIHA vs MIHA show. Each student/parent is responsible for the cost of participating in all shows. The cost of each show is determined by the District Chairperson and is dependent on the number of riders in each district.
Waiver required prior to being on the equestrian grounds: Will be available in a word document I will have available or on the website.
Parents' permission for child to attend and be part of our Seymour Hooves of Thunder is a form found on the website and i will have copies. I cannot post here as it does not allow. I have downloaded copies, or you can go to the website to complete.
We will announce a meeting date for more information hopefully next week and please reach out to me for questions or issues. Horses have such a way to connect with our human hearts that make us glow and grow as a responsible and confident individual

Talk about versatility and heart of Arabians . My Kaseyns Noble Pride (Patemis Pride x Kaseyn) is 16 and has only jumped a few things here and there on the trails. Well Tara needed a jumping horse this year. Noble walked up to the plate. He will do anything we ask and give it all of his heart. Well Grand Champion he was at hunter over fences at the state 4 h show. So excited for Tara and I had tears as he is the best of both sire Kaseyn and my beautiful heart horse Pride. Noble is my dream horse and we do adore him.

Know what your buying. This picture has store beef(left), and farm beef(right). There is an obvious visible difference between the two! But the differences don’t stop there!
The first thing you may notice in the picture is the color difference. The store bought is pumped full of additives and water. There isn’t a guarantee of where that beef came from either. the percentage of waste to value is high. You do not get a 1/4 burger from a 1/4 burger patty. Grass fed beef is pound for pound less total fat and fewer calories. Also, grass-fed beef has up to six times more heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids than regular grain-fed beef. Yes in the store you may have USDA label on it but as long as that animal has been packaged in the US, it can be called a Product of the USA. It could have came from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico or Namibia.
The beef on the right is darker and is farm raised beef. It is filled with more nutrients & flavor.
Advantages to Grassfed beef:
Heart health. While it still contains some saturated fat, grass-fed beef has somewhat lower levels than grain-fed beef. It also contains slightly less total fat. Ours was tested 91-93% lean prime beef.

Disease prevention. Studies have found that grass-fed beef contains two to six times more omega-3 fatty acids than feed-lot beef. Omega-3 fatty acids have been found to help prevent and treat many diseases. They include heart disease, stroke, autoimmune diseases such as lupus, eczema, rheumatoid arthritis, and others.

We have beef available and taking deposits. We sell 10 lb increments in 1 lb packages at 6$ a lb. which is less than at walmart for lean ground beef. What is best is you know you are getting angus simmental cross prime beef raised mother natures way with no hormones, antibiotics or additives. REserve your beef today. goin goin on June 20 and return product end of june.

06/05/2024

We will have grass fed ground beef for sale. 91-93% tested lean. We take it to Pelkins meats for processing and meet at a central location. We sell in 10lb increments of 1 lb packages and charge 6$ lb. It has little to no waste angus simental cross

Will be ready end of June I time for summer time!

Today we had a pleasant surprise. Lena aka MP Bailey (Antham) x Tune of Kadron-Kaseyn has surprised us with a beautiful chestnut filly. This mare was checked open last year but she had other plans hiding the embryo. What a wonderful little filly this will be for future performance horse. Lucky her new owner Jessica Sims had her vet checked and found her to be pregnant. She came to our farm to safely deliver this pretty little independent filly. Photos to come soon.

Here are Lena and Kaseyn
