Job Description:
As a Pet Sitter/Dog Walker at Fletcher's Friends, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and happiness of the pets entrusted to us. You will be responsible for providing attentive care and companionship to pets in their own environment, helping to alleviate their stress and anxiety while their owners are away.
Responsibilities:
•Ensure the safety and well-being of pets at all times.
•Maintain clean and hygienic living spaces for pets, including feeding areas, litter boxes, and sleeping areas.
•Provide regular feeding according to specific dietary requirements and schedules.
•Engage in interactive playtime and exercise sessions tailored to the needs and preferences of each pet.
•Administer medications as prescribed by pet owners, following precise instructions and schedules.
•Provide companionship and love to pets, building trust and reducing anxiety during their owner's absence.
•Communicate regularly with pet owners to provide updates on their pet's well-being and any notable behaviors or concerns.
•Follow company policies and procedures for pet care, safety, and customer service.
Requirements:
•Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a professional pet care setting.
•Passion for animals and a genuine love for pets of all shapes and sizes.
•Ability to handle and restrain pets safely and securely, including larger dogs and potentially anxious or reactive animals.
•Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and colleagues.
•Reliable and trustworthy, with a commitment to providing excellent care and service to pets and their owners.
•Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on the demands of the job.
•Physical stamina and fitness, as the role may involve walking, lifting, and bending while caring for pets.
