This is exactly why part of the adoption application process for The Animal Shelter Society asks anyone who is 18 - 88 years of age “in case of your demise - who will care for your pets”. We complete that individuals background/reference checks as well. This is so very important. The amount of family members who give up/surrender their parents (usually senior) pets is staggering. Please make arrangements for your pets. It is so very hard on these animals & once they come through the doors - they begin to deteriorate through no fault of ours. It is unfair to the animal & to our staff. Your pet deserves to be kept with family members they know & have given unconditional love to. 🐾♥️

Thank you donors, November/December donations of $1482 purchased 9,750 pounds of dog food that was at a discounted price donated through the Greater Good.
We hope another discounted offer comes soon! But until then, this is the last of the goodies and we will be buying retail until that beautiful offer comes in.
Your donations get us through these very difficult times. We are so grateful for any change you can spare, a prayer (or two), good vibes, positive thoughts, or sharing with your social media friends and family.

Update:
All have upper respiratory infections.

Shelter pull today.
Red male adopted 10 years ago from us found himself in okc shelter with 2 females that were removed in a traffic stop.
After waiting for a hold period we went to pick up our dog and just couldn’t leave his friends behind.
The dogs were all well cared for obviously and bonded. After reuniting the blue and white girl that was separated they all cleaned each other’s faces on the trip back.
We will always stand behind our dogs , they
always have a home here.
