Just a little information for everyone out there! Is your dog itching, getting bald spots, just bad skin in general? Alot of the times this can be helped by adding omega's to your dogs food, buying a higher quality food, or if you want something that could possibly give them a little relief right away try a Chlorhexidine bath. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic solution used on dogs to kill unwanted bacterial and fungal growth on the skin. This helps treat many types of skin infections. Chlorhexidine is commonly used to clean the skin prior having surgery or a shot. It limits the amount of germs that are in that area. Giving them a bath in this once every two weeks can help alleviate some of your issues. This may not help in every case but is worth a shot! We now are able to perform a Chlorhexidine bath here at Shaggy to Chic if you think your dog could benefit from it! Just give us a heads up ahead of time and we would be happy to do that for you!

Our sweet boy was born today 3/22/2024 at 11:01am, 7lbs 10 oz and 20" long. We are soaking up that first day with our little boy! Gemma is over the moon! She has already taken him under her wing. God has blessed us greatly!

Warning to all dog owners..
Here at Shaggy to Chic we always have very high sanitation standards but if your dog has any type of lethargy, wheezing, or coughing please keep us informed so we can reschedule. We never want to risk the health of the dogs in our care and also want to make sure your dog is feeling in tip top shape for their grooming service 🙂

While research is still underway, veterinarians are calling the unknown illness highly contagious, and in some cases fatal, and say most reported symptoms are similar to a typical kennel cough.
