@twincitiesaxolotls
I am so excited! One of my A.Andersoni females spawned for the second time and I will be raising more A.Andersoni babies soon! I have had some bad luck with the prior two clutches, but hoping I’ve got things all figured out now 🙂. If you would like updates on my breeding program. Please click on the link from my business page and comment.
Thank you!
A.Andersoni waiting list.
I have 4 males and 2 adult Andersoni females in my breeding program. Big thanks to Autumn Schley from MicroQuaticsfarm for being such a wonderful business partner and giving me the opportunity to obtain these wonderful animals. Please comment below if you would like to be put in my waiting list for Andersoni babies or would like to receive updates on my breeding program.
I have had 3 “successful” spawnings thus far. One from one of the females and two from the other. See below for details
***** update October 1, 2018****
Sadly only one of the babies from this clutch made it. Will try again in the winter.
****.July 1-4, 2018 Update. Babies have hatched from third spawning. Video of them is in the comments. ****
**** Third spawning (but second for this female) - June 27, 2018 - Laid sometime in mid-June with most eggs hatching between July 1-4, 2018. Have over 100 hatchlings. I will post updates on this thread as the new babies develop. Hopefully I will have better success keeping more alive this time and will be able to share with you all. No vacations for me! ****
****Second Spawning (but first for this female) - April 16, 2018 - Most babies hatched the week of April 16,2018. However when I went on vacation they went through some extreme heat at the home they were being taken care of (lost power during record heat) and all but 1 ended up dying. As of July 4, 2018 “Freida” is now about 1.5” big. One other that was sent to Autumn Schley (whom she named Fred) is also alive and is adorable! ****
***** First spawning - November 14, 2017. Eggs were laid from one female on 11/14/2017. First clutch for the female. Only about 150 eggs were laid with 13 hatching. Sadly none of these made it due to a big learning curve in keeping these guys alive. They are a lot harder to raise than axolotl babies!******
