Urgent!!! 🚨 Emergency Repair Appeal: We Need You More Than Ever! 🚨

Two weeks ago, I made another life-saving transport run — moving at-risk dogs from South Texas to their new beginnings in Colorado. At Saving Animal Lives 24/7, we rescue, vet, love, and personally transport animals to safety and forever homes.

On the way back — thankfully with no animals on board — the rear suspension solenoid on our transport bus went out. Without air suspension, the ride was so rough the windows literally popped out of their brackets. It was loud, dangerous, and exhausting.

💭 Now just imagine if that had happened with a full load of animals.
Imagine being stuck on the side of the road with dogs and children (my kids go on transport too) in the Texas heat. - that would be so stressful!
That’s why maintenance matters. That’s why we do the hard work to stay ahead of emergencies — to protect the lives we’re trusted with.

💥 We urgently need $2,500 for repairs and maintenance to stay on the road.
🚌 Our next transport is this Friday, and more lives are waiting to be saved.

I never clock out. This is rescue — it’s 24/7. I do the hard part, so you can do the easy part: help us keep going.

😔Emergency Rescue Last Night 🥹
After 8 PM, I got a call about two dogs weaving through traffic on the busiest road in town.

I was already in bed for the night… but when that call came in, I got up, threw on clothes, set up a safe space for them, and mett with the peoplee who picked then up. I met the Good Samaritans who saved them and brought the dogs home with me.

When I saw them, my heart sank.
💔 The white one is covered in mats—tight, painful knots all over her body.

I try so hard to understand how someone could let their dogs get into this condition…
But I’ll never understand—because my brain just doesn’t work that way.

These sweet babies now need:
✂️ A full groom
💉 Vaccinations
✂️ Spay/Neuter surgeries
🍽️ Food, potty pads, and basic care

We have until tomorrow morning to pay for Betty’s bill.
We only have about $500 left.

What’s Betty’s story?

At 15 years of age Betty found herself roaming the streets. Her owner who only fed her cat food decided he was done with her. She had multiple
Abscessed tumors that smelt like death and were full of infection.
I reached out to the owner to get him to surrender, however, he was a complete donkey. Telling me that he isn’t spending a dollar on this dog who is at the end of her life. That his wife rescued her 15 years ago and he never wanted her.
He got aggressive so I called animal control. Animal control stepped up and picked up Betty. Of course all of this is happening while I’m transporting animals to Colorado.
When I got back, animal control took her to the vet for me where they immediately sedated her and removed the tumors and clipped and cleaned three areas.
She stayed overnight at the vet and came home with me the next day.
This is her now, less than a week and she is truly comfortable and loving all the love.

How? Why? How?

Questions I will never know the answer to.
I will never understand.

✨ From Abandoned to Adored ✨

At 15 years old, this sweet soul was left to die—abandoned with multiple untreated injuries, her body overwhelmed by infection, and the smell of death clinging to her.

But thanks to Animal Control and our rescue team, she got a second chance. We rushed her to the vet, where she underwent multiple surgeries to save her life. 💔➡❤️

Now, she's safe, healing, and showing the kind of love only a rescued heart can give—like this kiss for Demi, her way of saying “thank you for saving me.”

We still need help covering her medical bills—about $800 remains. Every dollar brings us closer to full recovery for this beautiful girl.

💔 Abandoned at 15. Left to Die. Meet Betty White. 🐾

Can you imagine being 15 years old… alone in a shelter… your body slowly rotting from untreated wounds… dying from infection?

That was Betty White’s reality — and her owners knew it.
They told us they weren’t going to spend a single dollar on her — because “she’s at the end of her life anyway.”

Let that sink in.

At 15 years old, Betty was discarded like trash — left to suffer alone, terrified and in pain. But yesterday, we rescued her. And now, we are fighting to give her the comfort, love, and medical care she’s always deserved.

But we cannot do this alone. We are a small, volunteer-run nonprofit. The only way we save lives like Betty’s is because of you.

🚨 URGENT: Betty White Needs You! 🚨
The day before transport last week, I got a message about an injured senior dog — “The owner doesn’t want her,” they said.
When I saw her picture, my heart shattered. Her eyes were empty, like she’d already given up.

I contacted the owner. He was cold and cruel — said she was 15, fed her cat food, and wouldn’t spend a dime on her care.
💔 “She’s at the end of her life,” he said. Like she didn’t matter.

So I called animal control — and thank God, they stepped in.

After transport, I went to pick her up. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw:
➡️ She reeks of rot.
➡️ Her wounds are deep and infected.
➡️ She smelled like death.

Animal control rushed her to the vet for me. She was in such bad shape, they had to immediately sedate her just to examine her.

🐾 Her name is Betty White.
And despite it all, she’s fighting to live.
I haven’t taken on a serious medical case in a while… but the moment I saw her, I knew she needed us.

Now she needs YOU. 💔

Some days are really hard.

Welp, I’m back home in Texas!

Transport was a success. Transport left Thursday , made a few stops to give somee extra pups a ride, then drove all night to arrive at our first stop at 7am in Boulder Colorado. Ran into a nasty storm and some flooding on the way up. Friday did all the drops and adoptions, took a nap, ate, and then Saturday had an event all day, once the event was over back to Texas!

I’m exhausted.

Saving Animal Lives is not something I do, it’s who I am!

Thank you everyone who took a part of this mission! Rescue partners, adopters, vet clinic, fosters, donors, and anyone who shared to help! I see each and everyone of you!

Seriously the best day today.
Denver Dog Fest was a HUGE success.
It was so nice seeing my rescue partners, they are like family and ALWAYS make me feel welcomed.
I ran into 4 adopters one from 4 years ago, 2 years ago, 1 year ago, and YES 6 years ago!
— that feeling? Unexplainable.

Even had three people stop me and ask me if Im Megan from Texas.

Genuinely made me feel so good!
Transport was a success as well.

Here’s to new partners, here’s to another successful trip to Colorado. Until next month ❤️
