This week I realized that right behind a dumpster on our regular route lies this beautiful field of wild flowers. 🌸🌼
And we saw a young buck yesterday as soon as we walked in! 🦌
Ruby and Pearl quite enjoyed stopping to smell the flowers, as well as chasing butterflies 😂🦋 Such a beautiful spot in Bloomsburg! 💜

Padme, Chewie, and Yoshi 💜🩵💚
I love these with 3, and it’s no secret that Padme gets bummed when her family returns home and I’m gone 😂

This story is long, and gross. 🤮🤣
While I didn’t take any pics of the event, (you’re welcome), it’s a story I’ll laugh about forever.

I stay overnight with these babes - and Chewie, the yorkie who’s a very senior gentlemen, was having diarrhea on my last night for this stay.
So he had his mess on the floor and outside - ok no biggie. He’s got no teeth left, this poor fella can have accidents in the house - he’s earned it.
ANYWAYS - how do you think this ends?

Yep. In S**T. 🤣
I woke up at 2am to a strange, soft substance in between my fingers. That’s right, I had p**p webbing for fingers. I turn on the lights to find that Chewie has had what seems like explosive diarrhea all over the bed.
The all white, beautiful, huge bed.
It’s on my clothes. It’s on my skin.
I’m not happy 😂😂😂
Chewie looks at me like “you gonna clean this up or what?”
It was a long night.
So I strip the bed, clean chew & get him some water, and go back to sleep on a spare blanket with him (risky I know, but it was my last night with them), I waited until later in the morning to inform the owners who were fortunately on their way home. Fortunately the bed stayed clean the rest of the night!

But yeah - I did it, I woke up in p**p. It’s a first time for me, and though I’ve been doing this for many years, it’s never happened before. While I may have cried a little the night it happened, I laugh hysterically about it now.

It’s the little things. Chewie is getting older, and I know it will be a story I tell for all time 🩵🐾😂
And yes, I still love what I do. 😉

🐾Quick Announcement 🐾 —

I am NO LONGER ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS.

This may change in the future, as lives change and people move, but for now and the rest of 2024 - I am not taking new clients.

Because I love what I do, I have consumed my life with it. And it’s time for me to remember what it’s like to have a weekend off, or not work for 70 days straight, or not spend my only day off in weeks answering messages.

My pets are getting older, my daughter is growing up, my husband misses me, and I refuse to miss everything.
I’m also going to start trying to take atleast 1 weekend off a month, and I’m sorry to who this impacts.

I have gotten so many last minute requests from people who aren’t my clients, and some are occasionally upset that I can’t watch their pets for a week when their vacation date starts next week.

So please - remember that I’m not a teenager doing this for fun. This isn’t a side hustle. This is an 80+ hour a week SMALL business, run by me alone.
I book up YEARS in advance.
I started this business myself, I maintain it myself, and I am ONE person.
I do give two other pet sitters information out upon a KIND request. (They don’t have business pages, otherwise I’d just tag them)
You can also request to be put on my wait list.

Thank you for understanding. I have a wonderful clientele. My clients are some of the few people on this planet who appreciate my love and devotion to animals, and I wouldn’t be here without you all 💜🐾

Some parts of my job hurt. 😭🥺

This handsome boy - Zorro, was adopted out with a chronic URI, which eventually migrated to his ear and caused significant damage. He tilts his head and can’t walk straight. He’s lost a lot of weight.
His loving and doting owner was not completely informed of this URI when she adopted him 😡, and recently lost her other elderly cat after she got sick. It’s a pretty upsetting situation all around.
Zorro, though, I think is still a happy ending in many ways. He is a pillar of resilience.
He still purrs, play nibbles, rubs against me and gets excited to see me. He loves his mom and his mom definitely loves him.
He’s been to the vet so.many.times.
She is his greatest advocate and he’s lucky to have her. And no, she will never see this because I don’t think she’s on social media. I just find it impressive that she took the financial and emotional burden of a sick cat, after she was told his URI would go away. Not everyone would do that.
Anyways, I love this cat. A lot. 🩶🤍

Hi everyone.
With a heavy heart, I have to let my clients know that my grandfather died today. The situation is complicated, but my grandfather played a big role in mine and my daughter’s life. I am unsure as to when the funeral is, but I will let my regular and upcoming bookings know when it is as soon as I know. I’m still going to figure out a way to have all of my clients cared for.

Please excuse me for not sending individual texts about it tonight. I’m just tired.

Also - whoever came and gave me tissues when this news was delivered to me on a walk today, and offered to stay with me, I hope you know how much that act of kindness meant to me. I used every single tissue too.

Please be careful out there, and don’t take your dog for a walk unless it’s very early morning or very late at night. And for the love of dogs, please don’t leave your animals unattended outside (ever). It’s just not worth the risk 🐾

I know I’ve been terrible with updates, but it’s busy season which means I’m working for 2+ months straight - overnights and walks all day.

I’m plum tuckered out. 😂 BUT I can remember hoping and trying so much to gain a great clientele and a steady stream of income, years ago.

Throughout the last year, my pet sitting business carried my family in times of trauma and severe stress. I forget to be grateful for that sometimes.

I’m also very grateful to the people who trusted me in the beginning, and helped me gain the clientele that I have now.

Here are Rosie & FiFi, the most precious little beagle babes. We love our sleepovers and snuggles so much 💜💜
They have been in my life, as well their brother Boone who passed, for several years, and Rosie & Fifi’s owner was definitely one of the first people to trust me and has been a wonderful client and friend.
I just appreciate all of you so much 🐾

You know, I may not actually have a storefront business location or employees. I’m not in that small business owners of Bloomsburg cool club. 😂
I am my own boss and my own employee.

But that means I do it ALL myself.

I’m the book keeper, the accountant, the response to every message day or night, the last minute walk, the 30 consecutive nights of overnight stays in others’ homes, the social media posts, the social media responses, the time manager, the one you call when you need help with your pet, the one who gets bit protecting your dog, the one who will come say goodbye to your dog when it’s their time, and the person who walks 10 different sets of dogs a day, before going to my overnight stay for the night.

I’m not saying this to toot my own horn. It’s just facts.

I pour my whole heart into what I do. And it may not aesthetically look fabulous to everyone.
But that’s okay, because I’ve got a really long list of animals who will always love me, an amazing clientele, and my little family who’s supported me all the way.
I’m grateful for my “little hobby” that turned out to be even more than I could have imagined 🐾💜
