🌈 In Loving Memory of Amber 🌈

Today, with heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved husky, Amber, who passed away at the age of 12. Amber was more than just a part of our family; she was a loyal companion, a friend to all, and a gentle soul who brought joy to everyone she met. Her playful spirit and loving nature will forever be remembered and cherished. She had a turn for the worst with seizures coming every few hours because of her liver failure. Our vet said she could not continue on in this manner. Nothing we tried was working once she took a turn for the worst.

We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful years we shared with Amber and the precious memories we will hold close to our hearts. Thank you, Amber, for all the love and happiness you brought into our lives. You will be deeply missed.

She will live on in our hearts and in her daughter Maple and granddaughter Ice.

Run free, sweet girl. Until we meet again. 🐾💔

We are under a heat advisory today but you wouldn't know it from seeing these girls taking a sun nap. They are sound asleep. They have many options including air conditioning, water cooled fans, and regular fans but most of our girls prefer the fans and outside. We do have a few that we put up under this heat. Our older girls go up in air-condition kennels during the hottest part of the day.

Panther update. I moved Panther from her kennel to the nursery because she is due in a few days. She knows how to push my buttons. She is now punishing me because she didn't want to be moved. Please say a little payer tonight for our girl Amber. She had to go to the vet last week and has a liver disease. She was given meds and the doc said to come back next month for a checkup. She had a bad day today. I don't think the meds are working and she may be in liver failure. Our hope is they start working but only time will tell. Amber will be 12 this November. This really sucks but all we can do is wait and hope. We are keeping her comfortable and our hope is we don't have to make that unthinkable decision, but I know most of you have had to make those decisions at some point with a beloved dog and understand the situation. We always want what is best for them. 😭

Sawyer formally Sofie male 2 has went home to Tennessee with a big brother and a big sister 2 previous Bama huskies. Their mom was Bella and dads are Sima and Zeus. He will have plenty of playmates! Also want to give a shout out to Cain the German Shepard who did not make the trip. It was his birthday today so happy birthday Cain. He almost ate me a few times while boarding with us here 😂

To my future Mom.... Sawyer here! Husky Jim was not watching me and my brother very good, and he let me stump my toe on the sidewalk this morning!!!! This thing they call pain went up my leg so bad I laid down on my back and howled for like 5 hours! I thought my whole leg was coming off!!! No really!!! Then I got up and went back to playing with my brother. Maybe I will survive until you get here to pick me up. It's probably going to be touch and go through but we will see.

Paisley update! Paisley is home this evening, and she is doing great. Vet took out a large mass and said he got it all, and she would be just fine. She is on antibiotics for a week. She will stay in her indoor kennel for the next few weeks. He said we #Siberianhusky #HUSKY #Bamahuskies #siberianhuskylovers will have to watch her closely to make sure she did not develop any more later on.

Snows husky puppies eating puppy food for the first time. They really dug into it. This was just a test, so we will be using the big feeding bowls next. We introduce them to Royal Canin puppy food, and let me tell you, these little furballs were beyond excited. The moment we put down the bowls, it was like we'd unleashed a tiny, adorable avalanche of enthusiasm! They kept looking up at us with those big blue puppy eyes, as if to say, "Why haven't you been feeding me this all along, human?"
