Had an absolute awesome time recreating this project! Definitely was a learning experience. Mounted my first Alaskan Dall sheep and it was a stud! Definitely a big transformation!
Spoke with a few other taxidermist friends that have been in the business for 30 plus years and said this cape was in the worst shape they have ever seen. Was definitely an awesome experience!
The picture without horns is how I received the cape from Alaska!

Had an opportunity to do something a little different for an amazing company! Apache Rifleworks! I was able to include some amazing people in this project! Mesquite shield for our first responders. The beautiful mesquite brings out the awesome paint work on this whitetail skull!

Had a great hunt yesterday with a great friend and client Big.Fey! It was a great and fun hunt! This is the first sheep of the sheep grand slam in Texas! Started with this awesome ram! Can wait to get you on the other 3 sheep for the slam!

Good luck to all hunters!! Keep this in mind when skinning our that trophy. Remember to get a good quality mount back we need a quality specimen to start with. If you would like a wall pedestal please make the cut around the deer further back at least mid body. But you can bring the entire cape in and I will cut it we’re it’s necessary. Absolute amazing start to season! First hunters of the year and it was amazing! Husband and wife duo 536 2/8 inches of bone hit the ground!
252 2/8 and 284 inches

We were finally able to seize the opportunity to harvest the buck that we have been after for months now!! The mystical “big caudle tine” buck! I have had many hunters after this particular buck! He would always find a way to slip past us. I haven’t seen this buck in 3 plus weeks thinking he had jumped the fence chasing does. As we were sitting in the blind sweating down into our boots thinking about this buck I told Mr Brad that I haven’t seen this deer in weeks and low and behold we catch a glimpse of this buck way back in the trees, you cannot mistake that bug caudle tine. Finally he walked into the hay field and we seized the opportunity one of God’s most beautiful creations, this mature axis buck! Was an amazing hunt with an awesome person! We were also able to get another old mature cull buck for extra meat! Thanks again Bradley Eldred can’t wait till next year looking forward to you coming back down!

Had an awesome hunt yesterday afternoon! Fantastic first animal! 34 inch free range axis buck safari style! It was a tough shot through some thick brush with a tiny hole to shoot through! Carson did an amazing job and smoked this buck and he only ran 25-30 yards and piled up!! It was an awesome time!

As I sit down and reflect on the day I can’t help but be humbled about life. At just how fast something can happen to us in this world we live in. Today we lost one of our men in blue that wake up every morning and put their uniform on to help protect and make this world a safer place for us to live in. I cannot thank Mr. Carlos Ramirez enough for both his service in the military but yet on our local streets. My absolute deepest, sincerest condolences go to his family that received some of the toughest news any one person could possibly imagine. I know we lost a great man today but the lord gained an angel. He will be watching down over his family as well as all of us. I know that the community of Kendall county will be with the family through everything they need to help get them through this tough time. I know this may be the “END OF WATCH” for you on earth but it’s the beginning of your watch with the lord our savior and will strengthen your family with your love! Thank you again sir for your upmost caring devotion to your community and family! We all love you! RIP CARLOS RAMIREZ you will be missed!
