MIDNIGHT NEEDS A HOME
She came from Varnado, she lived on private property, never left out the yard and was mostly in a kennel. I got her when it was freezing. She was very skinny. Her brother and sister died when I was freezing. Her dad died with me. I'm just a 17 year old that is just taking on a lot of things. I don't know the exact date when she came but I guess she’s been with me for like 4 to 6 months. At first she didn't trust me enough to be around me, then she ended up just always being by me. I see her being in a home with one to two dogs. It’s probably better if she is just the only dog, but that's a lot to ask for. She needs a lot of attention. She is just scared of everything. She needs someone that can tell her that she can do everything, and not be scared of it. Like, she's a good dog; she just needs the proper guidance, and I'm not the person for that. I'm super inexperienced.
Midnight lives in Bogalusa, La, and is a 1-2 years old pit bull. I’m helping Demario rehome this good dog. Please contact him directly at 985-503-6398, or you can contact me Mytchiko Mckenzie at 469-670-9297 for more information.
I know she is just “a typical pit bull with a hard life,” but will you and yours be her new fanily?

Please pass along to anyone interested.

D0AHU LOOKING FOR A HOME!
Hi my name is Dahu it means big tiger, but in all honesty I'm a Great Pyrenees German Shepherd mix. I'm 1 year old; and I get along with cows, sheep, cats, and dogs. I've had all my shots and I'm something the humans call neutered. The only problem I have is that I like to chase the feathery squeaky tennis balls called chickens. I don't hurt the chickens, they just stop running. So I need a home without feathery squeaky tennis balls. I am that 1 in 50 dogs that would be absolutely amazing for a family with kids even little kids. I play fetch and I have a big bark to me, but I am truly a gentle giant. Miss Mckenzie met me on the farm in Franklinton, and when she let me off my tie down; even though I was really excited, I did not pull her at all. I I'm full of surprises. I'm looking for my forever home, and if you're interested in me please call Mytchiko McKenzie at 469-670-9297 or my human Gretchehn Xiong at 504-618-8938

To all those who have been a blessing and part of k-9 sight:
For the past three years, I have been given the honor and the privilege to follow my dream of providing dog training and follow-up services for low-income families. After coming to the small town of Bogalusa with three dogs, a pet python, six boxes of belongings, and my fiancé I am proud to have accomplished as much as I have. I will be providing support by phone, email, video, and Facebook to any past clients and am willing to offer that same support to new clients with a referral. However, due to uncertain life circumstances April 8 2023 I will be closing k-9 sight for the foreseeable future. This will include a move to Slidell and I still welcome and am grateful for the support and opportunity to assist animals and their families. Within the next two weeks, I will have a list of dog trainers and pet sitters in the area as a resource for any family that needs it. Please continue to watch my k-9 sight page as during this time I will be learning and testing various technology possibilities preparing my dog pack and myself to move and possibly preparing big dogs to live in a camper. It is with great sorrow that I make this post but you all have been the greatest thing that happened in my life. If anyone would like I can still be contacted by phone or text. If you would like my personal number message me on Facebook.

Be blessed,
Mytchiko Mckenzie

NEVER AGAIN IN THE SHELTER! FREE CLASSES

Just wanted to let everyone know and be reminded that the Washington Parish Animal Shelter is offering a set of 6 free obedience classes to any dog owners in Washington Parish! Thursday evening from 5-6 pm. Applications can be filled out at the Washington Parish Animal Shelter as wellclass schedualing!

Dont have a dog? Thats Ok ! The shelter dogs need humans to take them to class, so they can show their future family how awsome they are!
Why some might ask? Because we want to help the people amddog families of Washington Parish stay together!
Classes focus on behavioral issues such as: jumping, mouthing, barking, obediance, darting, pulling on leash, and much more customized to the needs of each dog and human pair. Already have a well behaved dog ? Great! Brinh them for some structured doggy practice!

All pets must be up to date on shots and a flea and tick preventative, and have a regular collar and leash.
Children are welcome if with an adult

Hi everyone! After an eventfull move we are now back in businesses just in time for K-9 carnival! Don't forget to start practicing your pets' talent for the "Best Trained" show. There is no specific training needed, just something you and your furry friend can do together. Judging criteria will be on; ability to stay focused in the distracting environment, engagement or relationship between pet and owner, and most importantly that all parties envolved are having fun!

Canine Carnival is coming to Washington Parish for the first time. Lots of booths, so many adoptable pets, pup cones and so much more. Our three main events are...
* Parade (from the opening arch of the fair grounds to the rodeo arena) bring your pet in a costume or wagon... 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place voted on by the public.
* Best in show (entry fee $10) bring your dog and compete to see if it is the best dog in Washington Parish. Animals must be vaccinated and able to walk on leash, applications must be turned in before May 25th.
* Most Trained (entry fee $10) can your pet do any cool tricks or love to dance? Each contestant will be given a one minute slot to show off their talent. Applications must be turned in before May 25th.
Vendors and sponsors must be set no later than May 18th. For sponsor slots please email [email protected]
