Tonight when it was Pebble’s potty time, I was not paying attention to her until I heard her getting excited.
Our 12 year old barn cat Smokey had seen me on the back patio and decided to visit. I am glad that he is tolerant of her.
Pebbjes is about 7lbs and he is over 13lbs.
(Today was weaning day for the calves. You can hear the momma cows calling them)

The sound of birds, the sweet smell of honeysuckle on a cool breeze, and a paddock full of Dexters.
God is so good and we are very blessed

Tinney’s Victoria and Banjo
Tinney’s Victoria gave us a little bull this morning at about 6:45.
Welcome to the world Tinney’s Banjo.
This is the first time he stood up.
Helper
Our eight year old granddaughter drove Nana and me around to do farm chores this morning.
Update: Tinney’s Jasmine and calf Tinney’s Major
This morning when I came out to check on Jasmine and her calf Major, Major was zooming around mama and just having the best time.
You may recall a post that I did a couple of days ago about Jasmine (who was a first time heifer) not letting her calf nurse.
But this morning all is good in the neighborhood

Momma killdeer was trying to lure us away from her nest
Today was the day to turn the waterfall on for the season.
It is 33 degrees with a windchill factor to make it feel like 24.
I was suprised when I heard quite a racket outside. (I don’t think there could possibly be an animal with a louder sound than the bray of a donkey).
So I went out to see what the heck was going on.
But Trixie and Lori Mae were just feeling good and kicking it up.
I watched them for a while before getttng my phone to video them.
Theses girls sure made me smile this afternoon.
One of my favorite things.
Watching the mommas and calves respond to my whistle for morning breakfast.
